Overall disappointing
The first part was informative and unique. I believe for the price it should be a little more exciting. It’s not the cheapest excursion and not the most expensive, but the best part about the first portion is the senota. It an awesome experience and would love more time there. The second half which is on the water was extremely disappointing. You spend more time on the boat than on the water. The snorkeling was probably one of the worst snorkeling experiences I have had. The sand bar was basically shallow water near a beach. It’s almost like they are trying to spend more time to get you drunk than have a great experience. Overall I was not happy with the excursion considering how much money I spent. I would not recommend this for someone who is money conscious and has a family.
Response from the operator: Hi Doug, sorry to hear the tour didn't meet your expectations. As mentioned in other reviews the snorkeling activity is not the higlight of this tour, although still something fun for begineers. I'm surprised to read you didn't enjoy the natural pool either, which is actually the favorite spot of most of our customers. take care, LPC TOURS staff

Punta Cana boat cruise
We were rushed when we went to the lagoon, and we only saw one lagoon, I thought it was more. The boat cruise was a lot of fun.
Response from the operator: Hi there! thank you for taking the time to share your impressions! Yes usually inside the lagoon you visit only one of the cenotes (the biggest) where you can have a bath and relax. We're sorry to know that you felt like the tour was rushed in the lagoon. Thanks again for your feedback, Claudio

Waterfall is actually a water pipe not natural
We purchased this excursion because of the lagoon and snorkeling. We were disappointeded that it wasn't a natural lagoon. There was a water pipe making the little water fall. Not what we were expecting. The boat stops were all very close together and we saw very few fish. The water was refreshing on muggy day. The bus ride to and from was ridiculous. Not only are the seats kids sized the isle was kid sized. It was a very uncomfortable ride.
Response from the operator: Hi Charlene, unfortunately the day of your tour the lagoon was closed and under maintenance due to the heavy rains of the previous days. The staff took all the customers to another cenote just next to the ranch. I know the day of your tour the weather wasn't great too, so for sure you couldn't enjoy the tour in full. We are sorry about it. Claudio

So much fun!
Super friendly and fun staff. Made sure we all remained safe while in the water. Snacks were refreshing and just enough. Drinks were plentiful and good! Great trip!
Response from the operator: Hi Tara, thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. Glad you had a good time! best, Claudio

Memorable Day in Dominican waters
This tour was one of the absolute highlights of my trip to Punta Cana! The combination of a scenic catamaran cruise, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and relaxing in a stunning natural lagoon was simply perfect. From start to finish, everything was well-organized and smooth. The crew was fun, professional, and made sure everyone was having a great time. The snorkeling spot was full of colorful fish and coral—definitely a moment to remember! Sailing through the turquoise waters on the catamaran with music playing, drinks flowing, and good vibes all around made it such a special experience. The lagoon stop was peaceful and refreshing—a perfect break to take in the natural beauty. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to enjoy the sea, discover marine life, and just have a fun and relaxing time in Punta Cana.
Response from the operator: Hi Maha, thanks a lot for your beautiful words! So glad you had a good time with our crew! best regards!

Punta Cana Lagoon Tour with Lunch, Boat Cruise, Open Bar: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Punta Cana Lagoon Tour with Lunch, Boat Cruise, Open Bar cost?
+
Prices start at $159 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Punta Cana Lagoon Tour with Lunch, Boat Cruise, Open Bar take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Punta Cana Lagoon Tour with Lunch, Boat Cruise, Open Bar worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 84 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Punta Cana Lagoon Tour with Lunch, Boat Cruise, Open Bar?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Punta Cana Lagoon Tour with Lunch, Boat Cruise, Open Bar suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Punta Cana Lagoon Tour with Lunch, Boat Cruise, Open Bar?
+
Around 29 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Punta Cana Lagoon Tour with Lunch, Boat Cruise, Open Bar start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
