Don’t Do It
Don’t book this tour. Viator markets and sells tours as the middle man. Hoya Azul was our local tour provider and they never showed to pick us up from our condo as promised. I immediately reached out to Viator and had little help from them as well. They continued to send me a contact number for the local tour prover which was an incorrect number. When I googled the company myself, I was able to find contact info but received no answer. Viator said they’d try to refund my cost. Luckily I booked using American Ex and will be refunded.

Don’t recommend
Never showed up to pick us up at hotel. We were there on time as well. I emailed our name of hotel but not sure if it was received. Regardless- we wasted money.. don’t recommend!

Fantastic riding experience
This was amazing, we had read that the riding was brilliant but they put the hard sale on the photos they took. We didn’t find this at all. The people were lovely and the ride was magnificent. Definitely a must do!!! They collected and delivered us back to hotel couldn’t fault at all.

Beautiful Scenery and a Special Experience
The start of our experience wasn't great. The driver was 30 minutes late, and it was difficult for our guest service representative to reach anyone with the company to find out where he was. We then had numerous other pickups which in total kept us in the truck for nearly an hour and a half. They really, really need two transportation vehicles if they have that many pickups spaced so far apart. Once we got to the ranch, though, the experience was great. Everyone was nice and the horses were beautiful and in apparent good health. As with other reviewers, we found the beach to be scattered with trash, but with the amazing ocean views it was hard not to be awed by the surrounding beauty. Afterwards when we told them we had to catch an afternoon flight, one of the workers took us back in his personal vehicle, which was a nice touch. The only negative was the pickup delays, and the fact that they promised to send our photos we purchased on WhatsApp but they never arrived. We do have the disc, but no computer with a disc drive, so it's going to be a bit of a hassle to download them now.

Great Trip but Where are My Pictures
Everyone could not have been nicer during our visit. The staff was great and accommodating and it was a ton of fun. Only disappointment was that when we got back they told us they could " not find the pictures" This was the main excursion we did and to not have any pictures really is not acceptable and incredibly sad. We were the group of four at 11:00 a.m. Please find our pictures.

Why this scores 47
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Punta Cana Horseback Riding on the Beach: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Punta Cana Horseback Riding on the Beach cost?
+
Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Punta Cana Horseback Riding on the Beach take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Punta Cana Horseback Riding on the Beach worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Punta Cana Horseback Riding on the Beach?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Punta Cana Horseback Riding on the Beach suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Punta Cana Horseback Riding on the Beach?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Punta Cana Horseback Riding on the Beach start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
