Mariana is like having a Sister in Mexico City!
This was our second time visiting Mexico City and second time using Mariana of Tepkan Tours to show us around. Last time we had just one daughter (3 year old) and we booked the pyramids as welll as the canal boats/frida khalo/lady of Guadalupe church tours and it was amazing. This time we returned with an extra daughter in tow (6 and 2) and immediately knew we had to reach out to Mariana. She provided door to door service. Child safety seats and great information. It made traveling around Mexico City and the surrounding areas an ease. We love Mariana’s personal touch and willingness to help us at all times. I will always use Mariana for all tours and support in Mexico City!

Mariana is the best tour guide
Mariana is a wonderful tour guide. She gave us a great taste of Mexico City, and went above and beyond to introduce us to this amazing place. We were with her for five days, doing different tours each day. She was knowledgeable, patient and pointed out best parts of each place, including hidden gems, like shops, food, and much more. Thank you, Mari, for the amazing time!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your words! I love sharing my city with all my guest. Hope to see you next time!

Perfect Day Tour from Mexico City
Perfect day tour from Mexico City, led by superb guide Scarlette and driver Alfonso. Compelling combo of scenic mountain drive, really fascinating Great Pyramid, and insightful contrasts between Cholula and Puebla. Scarlette provided just the right mix of information, conversation, and organization. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your beautiful words! Scarlette is joining our team and we are super happy to have her, she is a gem! Hope to see you next time!

Well conducted and great experience!
Marianna was our personal tour guide on the trip to Puebla and Cholula. We had a fantastic experience on this private tour from beginning to end. Marianna picked us up from our hotel promptly, ensured we were comfortable throughout the drive to Cholula. She kept the conversation lively and engaging, getting to know us, sharing about herself and getting us familiar with the pre-Hispanic history. At Cholula we had a fantastic time learning about the largest pyramid, the story of how Cholula was conquered, visiting the church and spending time browsing and shopping in the local market. At Puebla, Marianna took us a nice restaurant and had us sample special moles, following which we spent a good 1.5 h walking around the beautiful town, sampling liquor, visiting the prominent churches, learning about the local pottery and so much more. Marianna is more than a local guide. While she clearly knows her history and archeology, her guided tour was more than just a tour- we got to experience things very differently than if we had tried to visit these places on our own. We ended the tour feeling like we had just spent the whole day with a good friend. Wish we had planned ahead to use Tekpan tours to visit Xochimilco/Coyoacan. Highly recommend this company and if you can travel with Marianna, you are assured to have a great time!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for all your beautiful words :) I'm very happy to hear back from you and know you enjoyed the day the same way I did! It's always my pleasure to share all about our history but getting to know you makes it very special in every visit I share.

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Puebla & Cholula Full-Day Private Tour from Mexico City: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does Puebla & Cholula Full-Day Private Tour from Mexico City cost?
+
Prices start at $51 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Puebla & Cholula Full-Day Private Tour from Mexico City take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is Puebla & Cholula Full-Day Private Tour from Mexico City worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 30 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Puebla & Cholula Full-Day Private Tour from Mexico City?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Puebla & Cholula Full-Day Private Tour from Mexico City suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Puebla & Cholula Full-Day Private Tour from Mexico City?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Puebla & Cholula Full-Day Private Tour from Mexico City start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
