BEWARE! Horrible Experience!
Horrible Experience!!! The 3rd party driver that picked us up was amazing, polite and professional. The company Tour guide was late, and eventually showed up but she looked like she didn't want to be there. Gave us all attitude and was very ignorant and rude to us. We did show up with two additional (local people) which I mentioned several times I'm happy to pay for the additional local friends we met that day. I then had to text the tour guide's boss (refused to talk over phone) since she wasn't saying anything and just siting there for 30 minutes. Told the tour guide's boss, I will be happy to pay, but I'd like a different tour guide since this one clearly doesn't want to be here and is being very rude to us. The tour guide's boss rejected my request to change the tour guide but said we'd still have to pay. It Didn't make sense to pay an extra $340 for this ignorant, rude tour guid to show us around. So we lost $340, but the 3rd party driver picked us up and explained that this already happened twice this week with this company!!! I wish I would have know that sooner!! If they get a new tour guide, probably will solve most of their problems!!
Response from the operator: Dear Sir, As you say, our driver was kind enough to try to remedy an uncomfortable situation caused by the fact that he was with 2 extra people when boarding the tour (without communicating neither us nor Viator). Upon arriving at the tour location, our guide politely tried to get you to pay these extra people to start the tour, however this took a long time as you refused to do so and by the attempt to bargain the value of the service. We have been trying to talk to you during this process and you have refused to continue, claiming untruths about the guide. I remind you that you weren't the only one in the environment, much less the only customer and we didn't have a complaint from someone else about the guide's behavior. We will not go into the merits of your behavior towards her, but in fact everything was made difficult because of your refusal to pay the amount of people who were not programmed.

Fun times, fun people
Great night partying at multiple venues with dancing and live music, making many new friends (from Ireland, Germany, New York, D.C.) along the way.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your comment! We are very happy to know that you enjoyed your experience. We seek to offer the best for our customers! We are glad you had fun!

Pub Crawl in Rio with Transfer: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rio de Janeiro.
How much does Pub Crawl in Rio with Transfer cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rio de Janeiro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Pub Crawl in Rio with Transfer take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rio de Janeiro is not rushed.
Is Pub Crawl in Rio with Transfer worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rio de Janeiro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Pub Crawl in Rio with Transfer?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Pub Crawl in Rio with Transfer suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Pub Crawl in Rio with Transfer?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rio de Janeiro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rio de Janeiro and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Pub Crawl in Rio with Transfer start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rio de Janeiro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rio de Janeiro?
+
On Outty we rank every Rio de Janeiro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rio's Full Day: Selarón Steps, Christ & Sugarloaf – Tickets & Lunch Included, Rio: Tijuca Rainforest Hike, Wildlife, Waterfalls & Caves, Explore the Best of Tijuca Forest – Hike to Peaks, Caves & Falls. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rio de Janeiro?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
