It was such an amazing experience to see the countryside and get a different experience of Vietnam. The homestay was so nice to stay at with a beautiful view. The homecooked meals were also very tasty. The highlight of the tour is the bamboo rafting and lunch, exploring the local market (not on the itinerary but a bonus), the cooking class, spending time with the locals and the buffalo. Would highly recommend this tour and they are constantly communicating via whatsapp so you know what is happening and easy to communicate with.

Highlight of our trip
Our family of four, including two kids of 5 and 8, really had a great time with Divi Travel during our 3D2N trip in Pu Luong, with transfer from and to Hanoi. We chose Pu Luong as an alternative to Sapa and loved it: The beautiful nature, the kind people (incl guides), the homestays and the programme in small groups. The organisation was also impeccable with a fast response rate and being able to add an extra night and programme day last minute due to the cancellation of other plans we had. In addition to the breathtaking walks and cycle trips in the rice fields and nature, we really appreciated seeing the crafts and learning more about the culture and way of living. Would recommend this trip to anyone. Definitely one of if not the highlight of our trip ❤️
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We’re really happy to hear that your family had such a lovely experience during your time in Pu Luong. It’s wonderful to know that you enjoyed not only the scenery and outdoor activities, but also the chance to learn more about the local culture, crafts, and daily life in the villages. We’re especially glad that the small-group atmosphere and the homestay experience helped make the trip feel more personal and relaxing for your family. Hearing that both the adults and the children enjoyed the walks, cycling, and time in nature truly means a lot to us. We also appreciate your kind words about the organization and communication throughout the trip. Being able to quickly arrange changes and support our guests when plans shift is something we always try our best to do, so we’re very pleased that everything worked out smoothly for you. Thank you again for your recommendation and for trusting our team with part of your Vietnam journey. We hope to welcome your family back again in the future ❤️ Divi Travel

Educational and authentic
We had an amazing time on this tour! Our guide Nga was so knowledgeable and kind, and she did an incredible job at handling both large and small groups, teaching us about the ways and lives of local people. She went above and beyond in our cooking class to accommodate my food restrictions. She was personable, kind, and witty. Would recommend to others! 😁

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Pu Luong 3-Day Adventure: Trekking, Cycling & Local Cooking Class: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Pu Luong 3-Day Adventure: Trekking, Cycling & Local Cooking Class cost?
+
Prices start at $219 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Pu Luong 3-Day Adventure: Trekking, Cycling & Local Cooking Class take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Pu Luong 3-Day Adventure: Trekking, Cycling & Local Cooking Class worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Pu Luong 3-Day Adventure: Trekking, Cycling & Local Cooking Class?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Pu Luong 3-Day Adventure: Trekking, Cycling & Local Cooking Class suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Pu Luong 3-Day Adventure: Trekking, Cycling & Local Cooking Class?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Pu Luong 3-Day Adventure: Trekking, Cycling & Local Cooking Class start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
