    Don’t waste your time

We booked this tour through Viator. I tried to contact Star Tours multiple times prior to our tour date. No one answered the phone and nobody responded to WhatsApp messages. I then called Viator a few times and they confirmed that this tour would be going to Aix en Provence which is one of the options listed in thetour description. Then the night prior to our trip, star tour sent me a message stating that it was not possible to go to Aix en Provence because it is not included in the tour, even though it is clearly stated in the description of this tour that Aix en Provence is one of the options. This was literally 9 PM the night before our day tour. We had to spend hours on the phone with Viator so we could get a refund for this during our vacation and had to find scramble to figure out what to do the next. This company is a joke and they have no accountability. Save your money and your time.

Response from the operator: Hello, It appears this review was posted on the wrong company. In fact, you have booked a half-day tour with our company to Eze, Monaco & Monte-Carlo on June 22 at 2:00 p.m. (reference BR-1140844637) this tour was carried out successfully. You post here a review on a Full Day tour in Aix en Provence, so it has nothing to do with the tour you booked with our company. In addition we have only 2 bookings for the private tour for Aix en Provence this year and it seems that none of our recent bookings match your name or pseudo. Only the tour to Monaco appears in recent booking with your name. If your reservation has been made with our company we would be delighted to analyze your review, in this case please provide us with your reservation reference so we can confidently confirm that this is not a booking made with our company. There are many providers on Viator offering similar services and given that you have already booked a service with us, confusion can quickly arise. We trust in you to check the company that dissatisfied you (you can found the activitu provider on voucher or call Viator customer service for confirm the company provider) and to post the review on the page of the company that dissatisfied you. Best regards Dylon

    Breathtaking!

Stephan was an awesome driver and guide! He was knowledgeable and very friendly, and tailored our day to the activities we most desired, giving suggestions on the way. Our grand finale being able to walk through never-ending fields of lavender blowing in the strong breeze- breathtaking!

    Summer lavender

The lavender fields were amazing. I also got to see Lake Saint Croix, a few villages and the French countryside. Dylon could not have been more accommodating and nice to travel with for nine hours!! Highly recommend!

Provence, Vineyards and Lavender Fields Private Day Trip: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nice.

How much does Provence, Vineyards and Lavender Fields Private Day Trip cost?

    +

Prices start at $1286 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Provence, Vineyards and Lavender Fields Private Day Trip take?

    +

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nice is not rushed.

Is Provence, Vineyards and Lavender Fields Private Day Trip worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Provence, Vineyards and Lavender Fields Private Day Trip?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Provence, Vineyards and Lavender Fields Private Day Trip suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Provence, Vineyards and Lavender Fields Private Day Trip?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nice and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Provence, Vineyards and Lavender Fields Private Day Trip start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Nice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Nice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include ★ Walking Tour of Old Nice and Castle Hill, NO DIET CLUB - Unique Local Food in Nice !, Nice City Segway Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Nice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Nice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
