    Wonderful Engagement Experience

I thought finding a professional photographer, in a country that I am not native to, to capture our engagement would be difficult. However, by chance, I found David. After booking with David, he promptly messaged me through Viator before we moved our discussion to WhatsApp for more seamless communication. He quickly calmed my nerves with his clear communication, coordination, and by providing suggestions on different locations and ideas to make the proposal more special. This was a big moment for me as I was proposing to my girlfriend of 7 years, and I was more nervous about the execution of the proposal than the proposal itself. David understood this, and helped to thoroughly plan every detail to ensure it went smoothly. He was kind enough to bring roses and champagne for me to give to my fiancée after I proposed. From my personal experience, it is obvious that David is a highly skilled, knowledgeable, and professional photographer who was a pleasure to work with. David captured the proposal exceptionally well. He knew the area in and out, and he took us to different locations to get a variety of shots. David’s friendly approach made the entire session feel natural and fun, even though it was Taylor and I’s first photo shoot with a professional. It was a very sunny day, but this did not stop David from capturing beautiful photos of us. He has expertise in adapting to challenges like lighting, posing and positioning, and more. His photography and editing skills are of the highest quality. He even provided a quick turnaround on a few of the photos so that we could share them with family and friends. I’d hire David again in a heartbeat. I’d also recommend him to friends, family, or anyone in need of a professional photographer. David, thank you for your amazing effort and work towards capturing our engagement. Thank you for making us feel comfortable in the moment, for your communication and coordination leading up to the moment, and for capturing memories that we will treasure forever. It was a please to get to know you. I wish you all the success in your career, and all the best for you and your family.

    A proposal, beautifully memorialized

When I was looking for professionals to capture our engagement, I was very nervous about who to hire. This was a special moment, and I wanted to make sure it was captured in a way that would be true to the moment and the personalities of both my fiancé and myself. I was very fortunate to have chosen David, and Romantic Tour Amsterdam for our special moment. David was an absolute professional. He was very responsive in coordinating the event with me prior to the shoot, and he made me feel comfortable that the moment would be shot in a way that would produce gorgeous photos. We texted back and forth the week prior to the date, and he meticulously covered every detail of the day. In retrospect, this was key. I was terribly nervous to propose, and having one less thing to worry about made the moment special. Apart from being a fantastic photographer, David was compassionate, funny, and generally brought a great atmosphere to the shoot. Both my fiancé and I felt totally comfortable in front of the camera while David was shooting, something which is pretty atypical for both of us since we are actually pretty shy people. With David's professionalism and calm demeanor, he put us both at ease so the photos would turn out well. David's photography skills are second to none, and I can say the same about his editing skills as well. After the shoot, David offered us several photos of his choosing that he edited. They turned out amazingly. He then offered 20 additional photos to be edited. He edited them expeditiously and they turned out to be absolutely gorgeous. We will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives. If you are looking for a fantastic photos, for whatever occasion you may have planned, I can strongly recommend stopping your search here. Just hire David. He will do an excellent job. To David: Thank you for making memories for Murphy and I. You have made us so incredibly happy with your work. Thank you for all you do, and I hope that you are taking some beautiful photos of the flowers this April. Cheers!

I could not have asked for a better photographer!!

I had David photograph my proposal on a private canal tour in Amsterdam. He worked very hard to make sure all the details of the photoshoot and surprise were planned out, which really helped reduce my stress during such a big moment. All of his photos turned out amazing and the turnaround time to receive them was very quick! David was incredibly professional and very friendly throughout the whole experience. My fiancé and I loved our experience with him and the boat captain on our tour before, during and after the proposal. If anyone needs a photographer in Amsterdam, I would highly recommend David!

A great way to capture a moment in time

David was incredibly easy to work with! First, he was very communicative. I booked the photoshoot rather late at night for the following morning, and he promptly confirmed that we could meet at the scheduled time. We met at the location of the first photoshoots and chatted for a few minutes. He was very good at explaining how to make natural poses! He was very professional but also very funny. As we walked to the other locations, he ultimately gave a me a mini tour of Amsterdam and shared some fun facts. David made the photoshoot very enjoyable! I am very happy with the pictures he took (and so are my friends!). I will definitely save his number for future photoshoots. Thank you David!

    ⭐️ Amazing experience ⭐️

We had our engagement photo shoot with David. He was extremely nice and professional! We could communicate with him effortlessly as he’s a native English speaker. He gave instructions that made it super easy for us to pose and he knew a lot of spots for the pictures. We received the first few photos really quickly and could choose more than enough pictures from the rest. The final photos are just as great as the time we had during the shoot :)

Professional Amsterdam Photo Shoot: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.

How much does Professional Amsterdam Photo Shoot cost?

    +

Prices start at $170 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Professional Amsterdam Photo Shoot take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.

Is Professional Amsterdam Photo Shoot worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Professional Amsterdam Photo Shoot?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Professional Amsterdam Photo Shoot suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Professional Amsterdam Photo Shoot?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Professional Amsterdam Photo Shoot start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amsterdam?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
