What you'll see and do
Belmonte de Tajo
We will start our wonderful wine experience by visiting one of the vineyards belonging to the winery where we will meet the winemaker. You will experience first-hand how vines are grown (the grape-growing techniques) and the specificities of the climate and the terroir and how they affect the grape varieties growing in the area. A really interesting and informative explanation followed by a short walk in the vineyard. We will then head to the winery (5 minutes away) in order to visit the premises and get useful insights about the winemaking process for each of the wines: the alcoholic fermentation, the ageing system and their classification in Spain according to the wine region and the ageing characteristics. This is a family-owned winery; you will meet and be greeted by members of the family, all very genuine and passionate about what they do! Here we will do the first wine tasting, outdoors, weather permitting, and you will taste 3 fabulous wines with tapas.

An exceptional and educational wine tour!
A trip that exceeded expectations! We had an intimate tour of each winery we visited, with plenty of opportunities to ask the owners general and technical questions. Jimena was very knowledgeable of every facet of winemaking and tasting, giving us an enjoyable and educational experience for the entire day. Each wine we tasted was delicious; it’s clear that the wineries were selected judiciously. Highly recommended

Fantastic Experience
Jimena was a very good guide. She was knowledgeable about wines and informed us of many aspects of Spanish wine. She asked us our thoughts about wines before and after we tasted to get a sense of what we would like. The 2 wineries were very different but both were interesting to learn about. All the wines were good quality.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this kind review! We are very glad you enjoyed the wine experience to the fullest. All the best and we hope to see you again in Spain soon, Jimena.

A Must When Visiting Madrid
My friend and I were visitIng Madrid for a week in late November. We booked three wines tours during our stay and this was by far the best. Jimena was so friendly, knowledgeable, and thoughtful during our time together. We absolutely loved this trip and highly recommend it.

A must do!
We had an amazing time. Jimena was an awesome and knowledgeable tour guide. We got to experience the culture and traditional methods of growing and processing wine. The wine was excellent and the people even better. We have traveled the world and this was one of the most memorable experiences.

Great for experiencing Madrid local wines
This was my first time visiting bodegas (wineries) and it was a very nice experience. We visited a traditional bodega and a more modern one. Both with very good wines. Been living in Madrid for a couple of years and really recommend it if you are visiting and want to get a sense of local wines.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely comment! We are so glad you enjoyed the winery tour near Madrid! Cheers, Jimena

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Winery Tour near Madrid with Sommelier (6-hour): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.
How much does Private Winery Tour near Madrid with Sommelier (6-hour) cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Winery Tour near Madrid with Sommelier (6-hour) take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.
Is Private Winery Tour near Madrid with Sommelier (6-hour) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Winery Tour near Madrid with Sommelier (6-hour)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Winery Tour near Madrid with Sommelier (6-hour) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Winery Tour near Madrid with Sommelier (6-hour)?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Winery Tour near Madrid with Sommelier (6-hour) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
