About this experience
Santorini is well known for its long wine-making tradition. The island is covered with vineyards and its volcanic soil and unique climate give a special flavor to the grapes. You are invited into the deep countryside of Santorini to learn about our production history since 1660! Enjoy a lovely drive towards a scenic winery and taste an exquisite variety and personal favorite, that matures in French oak barrels. Later, follow an exhibition and a guided tour, led by a sommelier, in a luxury and modern winery followed by a visit to the unique Wine Museum to see some of the oldest vines on the island, which are over 150 years old. At your own pace, you will see the production areas and relax in a courtyard, so you will realize why everyone who visits Santorini, is longing for the summer days and sunsets with a glass in hand.

Family Wine Tasting
What an unbelievable experience. Our guide Mike was fantastic. We stopped at 3 wineries, 2 traditional and 1 modern and we had an absolute blast at those wineries tasting local wine and snacks. Mikes knowledge of Santorini and what he imparted to us brought the tour in between winery visits alive and interesting . He made the tour that much more special and we are grateful for him. Mike even gave us a little gift at the end of the tour which was great.
Response from the operator: Dear Byron, Thank you for your 5-star review and for sharing your experience! Santorini Road Trips is delighted you had a wonderful time with our local guide Mike. Creating fun and memorable moments is what we love to do! Warm regards, The Santorini Road Trips team.

Highly Reccomend Thanos!
The tour gave a panoramic view of the ocean front and it was very detailed. The workers are very skilled and knowledgeable which made the tour very worthwhile and entertaining. They were very patient with the you children in my group and also with the whole group of twenty in general. My groups ages ranged from four to 70 and I feel like they were able to engage and imform all of us. They were able to make this possible by asking for our opinions and responding and adjusting the tour as needed. They also gave us time to each location, never rushing my group of twenty. Thank you Thanos, Mike, and Michael!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words! Our local guides Thanos, Michael and Mike had a wonderful time showing your family around the island, and it means so much to us that your group enjoyed the experience. From all of us at Santorini Road Trips, thank you for your amazing 5-star review! Best regards, The Santorini Road Trips team

Great winery visit with George
We had an excellent visit to 3 different wineries and got to taste very good Santorini wines. The cave was absolutely my favorite. Angela was very good in presenting the wines. George, our driver, made the trip complete. He was an excellent guide, told us a lot about Santorini and gave us very good tips where to go and the “must see” of Santorini. Thank you George.
Response from the operator: Dear Yvonne, Thank you for your great feedback and for your 5-star review! It's wonderful to hear that George contibuted to a memorable and enjoyable private trip. Best wishes, The Santorini Road Trips team

Really enjoyable wine tour, would recommend.
This was such an enjoyable Wine Tasting experience. Sakis was the perfect host, he is incredibly knowledgeable about Santorini and we learned so much from him. We visited three Vineyards, and they were all lovely, but hands down Art Space was our favourite, Paula, the host was brilliant, and the wine, absolutely perfect. Sakis went above and beyond, after we had finished the tour, he took us to watch the sunset, perfect way to end the tour. We would 100% recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: Dear Hells. Thank you kindly for your generous 5-star review! We are delighted to khow that your experience with Santorini Road Trips met your expectations.Sakis,as one of our most valued local guides, takes pride in providing memoroble experiences. We are looking forward to welcoming you again in the future. Warm regards, The Santorini Road Trips team.

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Wine Tour in Santorini’s Most Distinctive Wineries: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.
How much does Private Wine Tour in Santorini’s Most Distinctive Wineries cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Wine Tour in Santorini’s Most Distinctive Wineries take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.
Is Private Wine Tour in Santorini’s Most Distinctive Wineries worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Wine Tour in Santorini’s Most Distinctive Wineries?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Wine Tour in Santorini’s Most Distinctive Wineries suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Wine Tour in Santorini’s Most Distinctive Wineries?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Wine Tour in Santorini’s Most Distinctive Wineries start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santorini?
+
On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santorini?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santorini?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
