A Fantastic Whisky Distillery Tour with John!
Our whisky tour with John was a highlight of our Highland trip! He was incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and entertaining—and somehow managed to connect everything we saw and did to our heritage. I laughed A LOT and had an absolute blast. John took a genuine interest in our Scottish heritage, which became a wonderful theme throughout the day. We discovered that he and my husband are both part of the Clan Chattan Confederation, so they bonded immediately. I, on the other hand, am apparently descended from the savage and mad MacDonalds. Needless to say, this tickled me more than it probably should have. What made the day special was John’s knowledge and obvious love for the area. He didn’t just give us a history lesson—he pointed out places, shared stories, and explained the things he clearly loves about the Highlands. He arranged a fascinating tour at Tomatin Distillery, along with tastings at Glenmorangie and Singleton. He never rushed us allowing us to linger wherever we wanted. Along the way, we stopped for spectacular Highland views, fun shops, and, of course, photos of a Highland cow (or two!). John even taught us how to properly pronounce Gaelic words so we could sound a little more Highland and a little less American. If you want more than just a whisky tour—if you want history, scenery, laughter, great whisky, and a guide who genuinely cares about making your day special—John is your guy.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are so glad you enjoyed the day as much as I did. All hail Clan Donald. The greatest of clans. Slainte Mha.

AYE TOURS ARE THE BEST! - Northern Whisky Distilleries tour
FANTASTIC tour with John as our guide. He was quick to come up with alternative when original distilleries were closed - and my brother and I were SO HAPPY with the ones we went to! (I bought three bottles for the day!). John gave us history of the area, along with local lore that you can't get from any book. Lunch recommendation was also FANTASTIC! Teri was also great in helping me plan this tour as part of my brother's and my "trip of a lifetime". Thank you both for providing such a great service.
Response from the operator: Thank you boys for leaving both myself and Teri such a lovely review. We are so glad you enjoyed the whisky tour, and also the Sidings train restaurant. It's fabulous. Come back and see us another time for more drams. John

An absolute must while in Scotland
This was our second tour with Aye Tours, and it was just as wonderful as the first! We had such a great time exploring the beautiful Scottish countryside while sampling a fantastic variety of whiskies. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, not only about the whisky itself, but also about Scottish history and the clans, which made the whole experience even more engaging. It’s the perfect tour for both whisky newbies and those who have been enjoying it for years. A perfect mix of scenery, storytelling, and tastings. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for not only your wonderful review but for also coming a second time with us. All the best to your super fun family until we see you another day.
