South Delhi heritage tour
Today I had an amazing tour of South Delhi Heritage sites The entire day was great, but the highlight was spending most of the morning at the Mehrauli Archeological Park, which housed the remains of a mosque complex and the Qutub Minar My guide was very knowledgeable, and I learnt so much about the history of India and Delhi, as well the history of the archeological site I totally recommend this tour

Mediocre
I like the arranged plan and I picked 9am departure time. There were not lot of visitors in the park. We later went to two Hindu temples. I was in town during the nine day festival, I had chance watching a lot of singing. That was very nice. The disappointing part is the tour guide. I love history but we didn’t stay very long at the archeology park. Whatever information he provided in the park, I can easily get from Wikipedia. He seemed to be uninterested and constantly talking on the phone. I was the only one on this tour so it is not a heavy day for him. He told me that I could take pictures of deities inside the temple. When I took picture, everyone was yelling at me for doing it. He also disappeared half the time during lunch. Not sure if this is OK professionally. The driver is nice. I stayed at a hotel on a very busy street. I was happy that he took the time trying to navigate narrow ally ways so he can get me right to the hotel, instead of dumping me at nearby intersection like some Uber drivers did. However, on the way back, most time he was yelling loudly and angrily at someone on the phone. All in all, I would recommend the tour if you are lucky to have a good guide.

Great tour guide, singh was very accommodating and easy going, he went out of his way to take us to places that weren’t on the tour when we had extra time. Great tour too loved the Chhatarpur temple so much to see there!

very good tour but it should start sooner in order to miss the people and hot weather i would have liked it to start around 7:00 am instead of later in the morning it would have made a big difference.

Private Walking Tour: South Delhi Heritage including Qutub Minar and Mehrauli Archaeological Park: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.
How much does Private Walking Tour: South Delhi Heritage including Qutub Minar and Mehrauli Archaeological Park cost?
+
Prices start at $72 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Walking Tour: South Delhi Heritage including Qutub Minar and Mehrauli Archaeological Park take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.
Is Private Walking Tour: South Delhi Heritage including Qutub Minar and Mehrauli Archaeological Park worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Walking Tour: South Delhi Heritage including Qutub Minar and Mehrauli Archaeological Park?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Walking Tour: South Delhi Heritage including Qutub Minar and Mehrauli Archaeological Park suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Walking Tour: South Delhi Heritage including Qutub Minar and Mehrauli Archaeological Park?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Walking Tour: South Delhi Heritage including Qutub Minar and Mehrauli Archaeological Park start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in New Delhi?
+
On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit New Delhi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in New Delhi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
