Comprehensive & Lively Tour of Athens
Our guide Vasso was outstanding — she made the entire experience fun. She provided great details on all the sites and the colorful history of Athens. She was flexible on where we visited and had a plan for a good progression of sites that worked extremely well for us. She made all the visits interesting and provided amazing color.

Wonderful tour of Athens
Our guide Sissy made our day wonderful. We went to all the major sites and learned so much. Sissy was so knowledgeable and so much fun. We loved her sense of humor and her seemingly endless supply of knowledge on the things she showed us. She also went out of the way to make sure I was taken care of with a couple of food allergies as we wandered through the city. I would highly recommend both Sissy and Athens Walking Tours.
Response from the operator: We are absolutely grateful for this brilliant review. We’ve passed your kind words on to Sissy, and the whole team. We are passionate about what we do, and want to continue delivering outstanding services. We hope that in the future we’ll be able to provide a similarly excellent experience. All the best!

Bringing Athens to Life!
Natasha took us for a private tour around central Athens. She traveled at our pace and had great stories about everything on the tour. Taking the tour on our first day in Athens helped set up the rest of the week. We were able to see some of the ancient sites as well as discover some unusual and fun sites in the city. Awesome time and great value. Having the tour guide brought the sites to life. Natasha was awesome.
Response from the operator: Dear Timothy, the title of your review says it all and it is more than we could wish for! Bringing Athens, its history, and its culture to life is exactly what we aim for, and we are delighted that in your case we succeeded. We are grateful for your lovely feedback, and Natasha will be pleased with your kind comments. Please join us again soon for even more interesting and fun storytelling. Until then, stay safe and keep traveling!

Our guide, Artemis, was absolutely fabulous! She shared her in depth knowledge of all the main historical sites, but was also well informed regarding the Athens economy, cultures, education systems, etc. Our tour with Artemis was the perfect start of our visit to Athens. Thank you.

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Walking Tour: Best of Athens: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Private Walking Tour: Best of Athens cost?
+
Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Walking Tour: Best of Athens take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Private Walking Tour: Best of Athens worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Walking Tour: Best of Athens?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Walking Tour: Best of Athens suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Walking Tour: Best of Athens?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Walking Tour: Best of Athens start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
