See Vienna with different eyes! An excellent privately guided tour through the Austrian metropolis.
First of all, many thanks to Chris, who gave us, my mother (79), my wife and me, a few very entertaining, funny and interesting hours. The pick-up at the ship - we had booked a Danube cruise - was extremely nice and Chris was very helpful. He brought us some doughnuts with delicious apricot jam as a welcome. The subsequent tour through Vienna up to Kahlenberg was a real treat! Chris knew his hometown very well and explained to us in detail both historical and tourist-interesting facts. I can warmly recommend anyone who wants to take a slightly different tour of Vienna, which is far from the "tourist standard", to approach Chris to see Vienna with different eyes. We enjoyed it! By the way, it should be mentioned that you can also have an excellent conversation with Chris about politics.
Response from the operator: Wir bedanken uns etwas spät, aber um so herzlicher für die nette Bewertung, Wir hoffen Sie dann bei Ihrem nächsten Wienbesuch wieder betreuen zu dürfen, Liebe Grüße und gleich einen Guten Rutsch, Das Team

Not worth the money!
I was expecting a tour of Shronbrun Palace. Our guide Chris said it was a waste of time and look at pictures on the internet. We ended up taking a train tour that had headphones. Our guide went with us. I paid for the tickets. Then we bought tickets again to walk the Zoo. I finally ended the tour. On our drive back our guide was telling us how he hates the muslims in Vienna ann the Turkish people. I would really like a full refund!!!
Response from the operator: You yourself ended the tour after 3 hours 30 minutes with an incoming call asking you to come to a meeting immediately. I explained to you in detail, as it says in the tour description, that this tour is intended to show you the highlights of Vienna, in the 4 to 5 hours of time that we have available, museum visits and castle visits are simply not possible, as these last 1 1/2 hours or longer. That's why I told you that you should do a tour of the castle yourself on another day. You wanted to see the zoo, which is part of the castle park, which took us another hour. Since I expressly mentioned that I was not under any time pressure that day, since I had passed on all other orders and I had unlimited time to present the city, I find it doubly outrageous to now make such claims. Time to visit Vienna does NOT include entrance fees, museum visits and castle visits, where I would then have to go with you and pay myself extra. This is not intended. I absolutely don't see why you're complaining about it, I drove with you through half of Vienna and as quickly as possible to show you as many highlights as possible. We wanted to drive to the Danube Tower to give you a view of the whole City of Vienna, you wanted to ride the Ferris wheel, which takes more than half an hour. Vienna is no longer a small city, we have two million inhabitants and a relatively large area along the Danube and the mountains. How do you imagine that you can visit museums and castles and still manage all the highlights in four and a half hours? Unfortunately, that is impossible. If you weren't happy with this tour then that's your thing but absolutely not worth a review like this. I always do the tour the same way and the many positive reviews prove me right. Suppose you had taken the tour of the castle, which lasted 50-60 minutes, and then we had done the zoo afterwards, where we also spent 1 hour, 2 hours would have been gone, then your call for the meeting would have come, what would you have seen other than Schönbrunn ? What kind of review would you have written ? 1 star ? I also find it extremely mean that, through my connections, at your request, I organized a table for you at the Figlmüller restaurant, which is always fully booked, for the next day at 7 p.m., which you simply didn't go to, which was extremely embarrassing for me and made me loosing my face. Something like that I never had before. You asked me for my phone number, because you wanted to do a Wachau Tour with me if there would be time left for you. Why you asked me for nother Tour and a reservation in the restaurant if you write now such a review ?? Sorry, thats not to understand and I hope everyone who is reading this will get the same meaning. Your last sentence is apparently a protective claim to obtain a refund. I don't want to comment further on this because I simply find it wrong and unfair of you. Hell shall freeze over you for this review that damages my overall rating

Why this scores 50
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Vienna Sightseeing Tour matching to personal interests: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vienna.
How much does Private Vienna Sightseeing Tour matching to personal interests cost?
+
Prices start at $846 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vienna usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Vienna Sightseeing Tour matching to personal interests take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vienna is not rushed.
Is Private Vienna Sightseeing Tour matching to personal interests worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vienna, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Vienna Sightseeing Tour matching to personal interests?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Vienna Sightseeing Tour matching to personal interests suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Vienna Sightseeing Tour matching to personal interests?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vienna can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vienna and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Vienna Sightseeing Tour matching to personal interests start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vienna within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Vienna?
+
On Outty we rank every Vienna experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Authentic Vienna Food Tour inc. lunch, street food, 3 drinks, Vienna Food Tour: Coffeehouses, Markets, Lunch & Street Food, Budapest Small-Group Day Trip from Vienna. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Vienna?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Vienna?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
