Best place to learn Japanese cooking
The best Japanese cooking class in Tokyo! This is our second time for my son (12 yrs old) and myself to attend Morimi’s cooking class. Morimi’s recipes are simple but really tasty. Also they are something you can try cooking again back home. If you want to experience the Japanese culture through cooking, I highly recommend this lesson!!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! I hope to see you again sometime.

It was a wonderful cooking class experience. The instructor was friendly and knowledgeable, and the steps were easy to follow even for beginners. The ingredients were fresh and the final dish was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience, 10/10
This was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it for anyone! We were invited into the beautiful home kitchen of Momoji where we learned to make pork katsu, curry, and daifuku (strawberry mochi dessert). Not only was it one of the best meals we had on our trip it was probably the best experience we had since we had a part in making it!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review. I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed my cooking class!

10 out of 10
I had an amazing experience at this traditional Japanese cooking class. The instructions were simple, clear, and very easy to follow, making it enjoyable even without much prior cooking experience. Everything was explained in excellent English, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. What made it truly special was being invited into Morimi’s home and kitchen—it felt personal, authentic, and incredibly welcoming. It wasn’t just a class, but a genuine cultural experience. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning traditional Japanese cooking in a warm and friendly environment.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review. I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed my cooking class!

Easy to cook at home again
The cooking class "Japanese Tonkatsu-Curry" with Morimi was a very great and memorable experience. After we entered Morimi's home, she invited us to make ourselves at home and we felt like at home the whole time we spent in her kitchen. We learned step-by-step and with hands-on how to prepare all the dishes, Every dish was delicious: the pork cutlets, curry, the shrimps, the fried and grilled vegetables and the potato salad. We appreciated a lot the idea to compare the curry prepare ourselves compared to the one with ingredients from a grocery as well as the tasting of the potato salat prepared in a vegetarian and non vegetarian mode. It was exactly the right choice because it is very easy to prepare all the dishes at home in Switzerland where all ingredients are available.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review! I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed my cooking class. I look forward to the day we can meet again

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Vegetarian Japanese Cooking Class-Choose Tofu or Curry: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.
How much does Private Vegetarian Japanese Cooking Class-Choose Tofu or Curry cost?
+
Prices start at $6000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Vegetarian Japanese Cooking Class-Choose Tofu or Curry take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.
Is Private Vegetarian Japanese Cooking Class-Choose Tofu or Curry worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Vegetarian Japanese Cooking Class-Choose Tofu or Curry?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Vegetarian Japanese Cooking Class-Choose Tofu or Curry suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Vegetarian Japanese Cooking Class-Choose Tofu or Curry?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Vegetarian Japanese Cooking Class-Choose Tofu or Curry start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tokyo?
+
Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tokyo?
+
Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tokyo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
