Marko is satorini
Marko the tour guide and operator was a wealth of knowledge on all things on the island. A knowledge he says he has gained from many conversation with the the elders of the island therefore sharing the history of the island from the locals who experienced it. All and all very enjoyable evening and a great recommendation for dinner at the end. Marko was top notch. 👌

Wonderful Santorini Experience
Our shore excursion in Santorini was truly one of the highlights of our cruise. The breathtaking scenery and carefully planned itinerary were exceptional, but what made the experience unforgettable was our guide. Booking with Markos provides the most wonderful experience, not a typical tour. This was our second excusion with Markos and we cannot wait for the next. His service is exceptional. He is personal, professional and the most lovely guide. He made this trip even better than the first. We had an outstanding meal at a local tavern, visited the beach, saw beautiful sites and hidden gems. If you're visiting Santorini, I highly recommend Markos and I am Santorini. The stunning views and memorable stops were incredible, but his outstanding service, expertise, and friendliness made the day truly exceptional. Five stars!

Fantastic tour with Markos, I Am Santorini
Markos iamsantorini.com is an exceptional choice for a small group tour while visiting Santorini. As an experienced tour guide who lives on the island, he knows Santorini intimately. He is knowledgeable and committed to providing his clients an experience that is flexible to your requests. He has a wonderful sense of humour. The suggested itinerary he provides is just that, and can be changed. The 1/2 day tour that we booked was perfect. Markos drove us to the perfect spots to take in the beautiful views of the caldera and the amazing villages and incredible buildings that hug the cliff sides overlooking the sea. He provided the six people on our tour lots of individual time to explore this incredible island and its attractions, including Oia, Fira and places in between. Markos also took us to local spots that a large bus tour would never go. Markos’ commitment to his guests provided a wonderfully memorable tour experience of Santorini. I highly recommend Markos’ iamsantorini.com. You will not be disappointed with your tour.

Awesome Santorini tour with the best guide Markos!
A Santorini Tour with Markos was definitely a highlight on our trip and I 100% reccommend him. From Fira, he took us to both ti the touristy places (before the crowds got there), to the must-sees and photo opportunities but also took us off the beaten path to different points of the island with breathtaking views and hidden gems where he explained history, geography and how the locals work and live. From the beginning of our tour, he asked us to treat him like an old friend and indeed was he friendly, respectful and considerate on the needs of the group going above and beyond expectations. I will give you two clear examples: 1. A lady on our group had mild mobility issues, but he made sure to find even terrain and adjust the tour accordingly to make it easier for her 2. A strong rain started on the last minute before finishing the tour, but he drove around town for a while and tried to find the best drop off point that would be safe for us Thank you Markus! P.S if someone is thinking wether to reserve with Markos or not: * Santorini was definitely more enjoyable with a driver, as you will not get to see all of the views from just one point/city * He is an awesome guide and the experience is worth every penny P.S.2 Get as earliest as possible to beat the crowds. Seriously.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the beautiful words my friend! It makes me so happy that you felt like an old friend on our journey because to me that is the only way to show you my home. I always want everyone to feel safe and cared for whether we are beating the crowds at the hidden gems or staying dry in the rain. Sharing the true history and local life of Santorini with you was my absolute pleasure. I am so glad I could make the tour comfortable for everyone and I cannot wait to see you back on the island again soon!

A True Gem - Great for Families!
My family and I were in Santorini for a only a day in August during a Mediterranean Cruise and we were fortunate to have found Markos to give us a personalized tour of Santorini. Markos was extremely helpful in planning the tour before our arrival to ensure our two sons ages 13 and 10 would find the tour engaging. Markos immediately made us feel welcomed to the beautiful island. Markos does an excellent job of explaining the historical facts about each location we visited in a way my 13 and 10 year old boys could easily understand and kept them engaged and interested throughout the tour. We felt fortunate to have a true local show us around. He shared unique locations and beautiful views of the island for us to gain a true understanding of what life is like in Santorini. Our tour ended with Markos taking us to a quint family owned restaurant located on a black sand beach so we could enjoy true local Greek food with an amazing view. It was a truly unique setting and made us feel like locals. Markos does a great job of taking us off the beaten path allowing us to see the beauty that Santorini has to offer. Our tour with Markos remains one of the highlights from our 7 day Mediterranean cruise. Markos is extremely personable and responsive as we were planning our trip back in March. We highly recommend Markos and would definitely book another tour with him the next time we visit Santorini!

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Unseen Authentic Santorini Half Day Island Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.
How much does Private Unseen Authentic Santorini Half Day Island Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Unseen Authentic Santorini Half Day Island Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.
Is Private Unseen Authentic Santorini Half Day Island Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Unseen Authentic Santorini Half Day Island Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Unseen Authentic Santorini Half Day Island Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Unseen Authentic Santorini Half Day Island Tour?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Unseen Authentic Santorini Half Day Island Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santorini?
+
On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santorini?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santorini?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
