Disappointed by unexpected $70 charge

I was disappointed with how this booking was handled. I made the reservation on August 17 and clearly listed Nickelodeon Hotel & Resort as our destination. The booking was accepted, and I paid on August 28. The provider only sent an email on the evening of August 31 stating that Nickelodeon was outside their area and that an additional US$70 would be required. I did not see the email and only became aware of the extra charge when the driver collected us at the airport. The driver had also been communicating with me directly on WhatsApp the night before but never mentioned the additional fee. At that point, I was in an unfamiliar country with two small children, did not speak the language, and needed to get my family safely to our hotel, so I paid the $70 cash. I explained to the driver that I felt very misled by the situation, and he apologized. He was pleasant, but I believe the additional charge should have been communicated much earlier since the company had our hotel information for almost two weeks. The transfer itself was fine, but the way the extra charge was handled left a very negative impression and is the reason I would not book with this provider again.

Therefore, the transfer required an additional **US$70**. Once we identified that your destination was outside the area covered by the selected product, we sent you an email informing you of the situation and giving you the option to **cancel the reservation before arriving in the Dominican Republic**, rather than being required to pay the additional amount. According to our records, the email was opened more than 24 hours after it was sent. We understand that customers may not always see their emails immediately; however, the information and cancellation option were provided before your arrival. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for information that was not reviewed or acknowledged in time. We also regret that the additional charge was not discussed again through WhatsApp before your airport pickup. Nevertheless, the **US$70 was not an unexpected or arbitrary airport charge**; it corresponded to the additional distance and service required because the destination was outside the area included in the product originally selected. Scammers!! Don’t book!!!

Scammers do not book! Once we arrived they tried to make us pay $70 more on top of what we paid. Absolute scammers!!!! Beware

Disorganized and Unprofessional.

I booked a roundtrip transfer. When I arrived to the airport I had to wait 20 minutes before my driver arrived despite previous communication with the dispatch about my arrival time. Rocher, the dispatcher, then told me he would text me the night before my departure to confirm my pickup time. He never reached out to me, so I texted him. He did not respond. So I called twice and texted him multiple times before I was able to get an answer. Rocher then asks me to send a picture of my booking to prove that I booked Roundtrip. Now it is 20 minutes before I need to leave and I am just now getting ahold of the owner who is now sending a driver. Additionally, on my way to the hotel, the driver Jose Cruz Rosario flirts with me the entire drive. He asked for my number and I told him no. Then he shows me that he already has my number on the business paper. I asked him not to text me using the business info. That night, he proceeded to text me forcing me to block him. I am highly disappointed and DISGUSTED in the service I received. I do not recommend this company at all. If I had not been so diligent, I could’ve easily missed my flight. The company is very disorganized and lacking of professionalism as they do not keep track of the guests they are servicing as they should.
