    Rememberable obstacle course

Drive to BaMi National park. We hoped to hike to ruins, the trails not maintained so much tree fall and rockfall. Probably from heavy rainstorms. Very difficult to climb under and over, very sketchy in places. I do not think we would do the trail again. The steps to the temple s are well maintained.

    foggy day

Foggy day means you won't see much. There is no English labeling at the site so that made finding trails a bit challenging.

    Great day trip!

I really wanted to go on some hikes during a trip to Hanoi and so glad I chose Ba Vi and got a driver. He didn't speak English but we managed to communicate through Google translate. He arrived at our hotel about 10 min early then had the front desk notify us he was there. The park itself would have been difficult to navigate without him (everything in Vietnamese, there didn't seem to be maps available, it's in the mountains so phone signal often cut out except at the very top). He took us to the main parking lot connecting to the 2 main trails and waited ~3 hrs in the car while we did both (there are a LOT of stairs, we're both very fit and still had to take a few breaks) then got some tea at the cafe by the lookout. I think I've never seen a place so foggy, so you could not see very far (I think the views would be incredible on a clear day) but it was cool to feel like you're on an island in the sky, and the temples are very cool. There were a couple people there to give offerings so we got to respectfully observe that as well.

    Could've been better

Driver picked us up on time at 7am and waited for us in Ba Vi until 5pm. Communication was rather challenging and there were times when I had to contact the main operator directly when the driver was unreachable. It didn't seem like the driver knew much about the place, and obviously we didn't know any better, and so we were dropped off in an area that was kilometers away from the place where one would typically start their walk up to the common points of interest. We lost time and energy walking the extra kilometers of pavement and ended up not reaching the Bao Thien Tower. A more knowledgeable and engaging driver could have contributed to a better experience.

Response from the operator: Dear, It is a pity that you got this problem. Indeed, you just booked a car transfer, not a tour. We contacted you before the ride and we did mention this concern and we recomended that you should hire a guide (either from Hanoi or a guide at the site). However, you still ignored our suggestions and so it is oubvious you cannot expect something better. You complained this after the ride which is really unfair. You said you didn't know any better but you still went to the national park without paying extra to have a tour guide (as our team suggestion). It seems that you risk yourselves while saving some money. We hope that you should not do this way in the future. Thanks

    Bo vi national Park

Great day out, very foggy going up the hill. Our driver navigated through the road works pretty good on the way. Walked up the stairway to the temple, 1000s of steps but we made it. People were very friendly,

Private Transfers Full Day Hanoi - Ba Vi National Park - Hanoi: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does Private Transfers Full Day Hanoi - Ba Vi National Park - Hanoi cost?

    +

Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Transfers Full Day Hanoi - Ba Vi National Park - Hanoi take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is Private Transfers Full Day Hanoi - Ba Vi National Park - Hanoi worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Transfers Full Day Hanoi - Ba Vi National Park - Hanoi?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Transfers Full Day Hanoi - Ba Vi National Park - Hanoi suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Transfers Full Day Hanoi - Ba Vi National Park - Hanoi?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Transfers Full Day Hanoi - Ba Vi National Park - Hanoi start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
