Plitvice Lakes National Park
Plitvice Lakes is Croatia's best known national park and the only Croatian natural jewel that is on the UNESCO List of World Heritage sites. The main attractions of this park, unique in the world, are the 16 small lakes joined by waterfalls created by the sedimentation of travertine, a special type of limestone. This national park encompasses the source of the river Korana, located in the area surrounded by dense forests of beech, fir and spruce. There are also several caves in the park, as well as springs and flowering meadows. The brown bear stands out as one of many protected animal species. The popularity of this park is also boosted by the special means of transport used to ferry visitors around: the panoramic electric trains and the noiseless electro-powered boats.

Perfect day trip
We had a wonderful day traveling from Zagreb to Split. Our driver, Dario, was excellent, helpful, punctual, and a very good driver. Dario seemed very comfortable with our slightly boisterous crowd and was accommodating to any special requests. The sprinter van was very comfortable for 6 of us. The Plitvice Lakes were beautiful - the photos do not do justice to the beauty and intimacy one experiences with the lakes and falls. Our tour included a guide (Maria) within the park and she was super helpful and had great energy. This was the perfect way to get us from Zagreb to Spilt!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that your journey from Zagreb to Split was such a positive experience and that Dario took great care of your group with his professionalism, punctuality, and friendly approach. It’s great to know the Sprinter van was comfortable for everyone and that the day felt relaxed and accommodating. We’re also happy to hear that your guided visit to Plitvice Lakes with Maria was informative and energetic—she’ll be delighted to hear your kind words. We completely agree that the lakes are even more breathtaking in person. Thank you for choosing our service, and we hope to welcome you again on another adventure in Croatia!

Wonderful!
Marco was our private guide and transfer driver. He was very knowledgeable and despite it absolutely pouring down rain in the Plitvice National Lakes he never slowed down the tour, kept checking in with us to make sure we were doing good. He didn't cut the tour short. We so appreciated him from the beginning of the tour and transfer to the ending. Excellent!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your excellent review! We’re delighted to hear that Marko took such great care of you throughout the transfer and Plitvice Lakes tour, even with the challenging weather conditions. His attentiveness, knowledge, and commitment to ensuring you had the full experience truly reflect the service we strive to provide. We really appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you again on another tour in Croatia!

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private transfer: Zagreb - Split with Plitvice Lakes private tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zagreb.
How much does Private transfer: Zagreb - Split with Plitvice Lakes private tour cost?
+
Prices start at $805 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zagreb usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private transfer: Zagreb - Split with Plitvice Lakes private tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zagreb is not rushed.
Is Private transfer: Zagreb - Split with Plitvice Lakes private tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zagreb, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private transfer: Zagreb - Split with Plitvice Lakes private tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private transfer: Zagreb - Split with Plitvice Lakes private tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private transfer: Zagreb - Split with Plitvice Lakes private tour?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zagreb can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zagreb and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private transfer: Zagreb - Split with Plitvice Lakes private tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zagreb within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Zagreb?
+
On Outty we rank every Zagreb experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Communism & Croatian Homeland War Tour, Zagreb Highlights: Old Town, WWII tunnels, Funicular & Tastings, Old Zagreb Private Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Zagreb?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Zagreb?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
