Good Service Despite Traffic Delays
This was a transfer from my hotel in Mexico City to the airport for a 5:30am pickup. The driver arrived slightly late (around 5:50am) due to road closures, but he did communicate this via message and explained he was trying to find a way through. Naturally, I was a bit concerned as the time was getting closer, and I did try to call for an update, but he did eventually arrive and handled the situation as best as he could given the circumstances. On the way to the airport, there was also unexpectedly heavy traffic near Terminal 2 – what should have been a short drive took around 30 minutes. Thankfully, I had planned an earlier pickup, so I still had enough time. Overall, despite the delays, the driver was patient and did well navigating a difficult morning with road closures and traffic.
Response from the operator: Dear Nisha. Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are pleased to hear that the driver was friendly and that the service was provided on time. Your review encourages us to continue delivering high-quality service. We would be happy to assist you again in the future.

Airport transfer to airport from hotel in CDMX
Viator often could not find the address so we met at the nearest corner which left us without WiFi to communicate. He persisted in finding us and we got to the airport on time. I noticed later that communications came into my phone from our driver trying to locate us so I’m grateful he did not give up. Thank you, driver!

Driver left without me, had to get a taxi and got ripped off. Exactly the thing I was avoiding as a solo female travler
Driver showed up when I said my flight landed then left without me (baggage took 30 mins to come out and just general time to get out the airport which he said was accounted for in my booking time). I then had to get into a taxi which is exactly what I was trying to avoid as a solo female traveler at night where I was locked in the taxi and made to pay 160 bucks or not let out. So thanks for leaving me wandering around the airport for an hour looking for you. Terrible waste of money (ignoring my request for a refund) Chose someone else.

The driver was very nice, a good driver, and we chatted about our experiences during me and my friend’s stay in Mexico City.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Transfer to Mexico City Airport (MEX): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does Private Transfer to Mexico City Airport (MEX) cost?
+
Prices start at $8 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Transfer to Mexico City Airport (MEX) take?
+
Plan for about 0.6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is Private Transfer to Mexico City Airport (MEX) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Transfer to Mexico City Airport (MEX)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Transfer to Mexico City Airport (MEX) suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 0.6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Private Transfer to Mexico City Airport (MEX)?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 0.6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Transfer to Mexico City Airport (MEX) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
