Pompeii half day from Sorrento - Good experience

Great experience especially if it’s really hot, half day tour to Pompeii is sufficient if you’re not big on archaeology. Got to see the highlights and the guide was knowledgeable

    Fantastic experience

Daniella and Vincento ( Luigi was the driver ) were great! Very punctual. Vincento was very knowledgeable on Pomepei as well.

    Dissatisfied

My plane was late and trip advisor canceled and charged me full amount over $700 and refused partial refund. They wouldn’t even reason with me.

    Fantastic trip

Choosing this excursion was the highlight of our trip. The boat ride, small group of people, and our captain made it completely enjoyable. You should be aware that this trip puts you onto the Isle of Capri for about 4.5 hours. I was surprised that we needed to pay 15 euros each to get transportation to sights on the island. You have two options when you get there (public or private bus) but they strongly push the private which costs 15 euros. Also, the town of Capri is a bit chaotic and confusing when you only have a few hours to figure it out. With all that said, we had a fantastic time and our Captain did an exceptional job.

    Frustrating and Disappointing!

Not recommended. I have never written a review before but felt I had to in order to spare others the frustration my family and I experienced. Although the boat itself and crew were lovely and comfortable, the island of Capri a must if visiting Sorrento, the tour company itself could not have been more disorganized. The trip is advertised as an 8 hour day including transportation to and from harbor from the hotel. However, it turned out to be a 12 hour day! 1.5 hours of waiting, in the beginning, to get on the boat (as other buses arrived late with other tour members) and 1.5 hours of waiting at the end. We first had to wait for 3 additional boats to arrive, then we had to wait for them to organize transportation back to hotels. Our hotel was literally 2 miles away. We could have walked back faster than they transported us. It felt as though everyone there was a new employee and no one knew what to do as several boats were 45 minutes late in returning. I would not use this company again and would not recommend.

Response from the operator: Dear Beverly T, thank you very much for your review. Each feedback helps up to improve our service. Can you please contact us via email at activities@traveletc.it in order to figure out what happened that day ? We remain at your complete disposal. Kindest regards, Graziana

Private Transfer: Naples to Sorrento with Pompeii Guided Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.

How much does Private Transfer: Naples to Sorrento with Pompeii Guided Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $483 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Transfer: Naples to Sorrento with Pompeii Guided Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.

Is Private Transfer: Naples to Sorrento with Pompeii Guided Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 41 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Transfer: Naples to Sorrento with Pompeii Guided Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Transfer: Naples to Sorrento with Pompeii Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Transfer: Naples to Sorrento with Pompeii Guided Tour?

    +

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Transfer: Naples to Sorrento with Pompeii Guided Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Naples?

    +

On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naples?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naples?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
