About this experience
Join us on a private tour from Zagreb, with the stop at Plitvice Lakes national park and transfer to Zadar. (or vice versa). Explore Plitvice Lakes, Croatia's best known national park and the only Croatian natural jewel that is on the UNESCO List of World Heritage sites. The main attractions of this park, unique in the world, are the 16 small lakes joined by waterfalls created by the sedimentation of travertine, a special type of limestone. It is impossible to say whether the park is more beautiful in the spring, when the flowers in its meadows are in full bloom and when the trees have turned green again, or when the riot of autumn colors is reflected in the waters of the lakes, or indeed during the winter calm, when ice petrifies the waterfalls and when the surrounding trees are heavily laden with snow. By a network of paths, visitors can get around and access the numerous waterfalls and the rocky lake shores easily.

A Must Do Tour to Experience the Beauty of Plitvice Lakes!
Frane, our tour guide, was excellent. He answered all of our questions promptly prior to our tour and tailored the tour to make it perfect for us. Along the drive, one person wasn’t feeling so hot, so Frane made an impromptu stop in a little village to get her something to eat and drink. We wanted to see everything that Plitvice Lakes had to offer, so Frane made sure we did the complete hike of the upper and lower lakes. It was quite a long hike but worth every step as you were surrounded by such beauty at every turn despite some spots being a bit crowded as we toured during the peak season. On our drive to Zadar, Frane gave us great tips regarding the remainder of our trip, and he even called a restaurant he suggested in Dubrovnik to make dinner reservations for us. This private tour was definitely a highlight of our entire Croatian trip. I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Croatia!

The Perfect Transfer with the Perfect Tour
Absolutely perfect!! Marco, our driver was amazing, we could not have been happier with this experience. It was simply the best!. We had a relaxed private comfortable drive to Plitvice Lakes where Marco took us on a tour that was informative, fun and seriously breathtaking. So many waterfalls! We never felt rushed and we were really able to enjoy every moment. It was the perfect way to leave Zagreb (luggage with us), enjoy the tour for the day, and then be taken to our next location of Zadar. We highly recommend doing this!! Request Marco too, he’s the best!!!. Marco, if you’re reading this, we thank you again for a fantastic experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this amazing review! We’re absolutely thrilled to hear that your transfer and private tour with Marco exceeded your expectations and became such a memorable part of your journey. It’s wonderful to know that the drive was comfortable, the pace relaxed, and that you had plenty of time to truly enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Plitvice Lakes and its waterfalls. Marco will be especially happy to read your kind words—his passion and dedication really shine through. Thank you for the strong recommendation, and we hope to welcome you again on another adventure in Croatia!

Incredible Experience
This review is a bit overdue. My wife and I did a 3 week tour through Croatia in August 2021 to celebrate our honeymoon. I connected with Frane before the trip to book an airport transfer as well as a full day trip from Zagreb through Plitvice lakes with Zadar transfer. Frane organized everything in advance and picked us up himself on the day of our big road trip. He is an absolute delight to travel with. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the region. He had already organized a guide and tickets for our Plitvice lakes tour and everything went effortlessly smooth. In addition, once he learnt I’m a huge fan of Modric he took a detour to bring us to his village! And to top it off we had lunch at this incredible local restaurant where they roast a whole lamb on the spit!! He also provided us with very reliable car and boat transfer contacts for our entire itinerary. For us it felt as if we have a friend in Croatia that we can depend on for all our travel needs. If you are in Croatia I highly recommend his company for day trips, airport transfers as well as organized itineraries!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this truly incredible and heartfelt review! We’re honored to have been part of such a special journey celebrating your honeymoon in Croatia. It’s wonderful to hear that everything—from the airport transfer to the full-day trip through Plitvice Lakes and onward to Zadar—was smooth and enjoyable. Frane will be deeply touched by your kind words. Sharing history, taking care of details in advance, and adding personal touches (like the surprise visit to Modrić’s village and the unforgettable local lamb lunch!) are exactly what we love doing for our guests. We’re especially happy that you felt you had a trusted friend in Croatia—that’s the highest compliment we could receive. Thank you for your strong recommendation, and we truly hope to welcome you back again for another adventure in the future. Wishing you both many happy travels ahead!

Wonderful service - Excellent driver - Great experience for us
Frane was prompt in responding to initial inquiry. We didnt have to pay to book which was excellent. Vjeren was waiting for us at the airport. Very professional and likes history. I also like history and we learnt about Crotian war which was quite interesting given it is modern history. Vjeren was always on time and very patient while onboarding/offboarding as we had 4 young kids. We did plitvice lake tour and went to Zadar the next visit. On way from Zadar, we stopped at Nin. The best thing I like about this company was they were flexible with times and not so rigid. Next day half of our party also did a Slovenia tour and it was also an equally amazing experience. Thanks a lot Frane and team.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your thoughtful and detailed review! We’re truly delighted to hear that your experience with us—from the initial inquiry to your travels through Plitvice Lakes, Zadar, Nin, and even Slovenia—was such a positive one. We’re glad that Frane’s prompt communication and flexible approach helped make planning easy, especially when traveling with young children. It’s wonderful to know that Vjeren’s professionalism, patience, and passion for history added depth and interest to your journey, particularly with insights into Croatia’s modern history. We always strive to be accommodating and adaptable, so your appreciation of our flexibility really means a lot to us. Thank you for trusting us with your family travels and for your kind words about the entire team. We hope to welcome you again for another memorable adventure in the future!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zagreb.
How much does Private transfer from Zagreb to Zadar with Plitvice Lakes private tour cost?

How long does Private transfer from Zagreb to Zadar with Plitvice Lakes private tour take?
+

Is Private transfer from Zagreb to Zadar with Plitvice Lakes private tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zagreb, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private transfer from Zagreb to Zadar with Plitvice Lakes private tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private transfer from Zagreb to Zadar with Plitvice Lakes private tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private transfer from Zagreb to Zadar with Plitvice Lakes private tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zagreb can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zagreb and add a light layer if any part of the 0.1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private transfer from Zagreb to Zadar with Plitvice Lakes private tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zagreb within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Zagreb?
+
On Outty we rank every Zagreb experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Communism & Croatian Homeland War Tour, Zagreb Highlights: Old Town, WWII tunnels, Funicular & Tastings, Old Zagreb Private Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Zagreb?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Zagreb?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
