Disappointed with booked transfer from Sitges to Barcelona cruise port
I am giving this a two because I booked transportation to the Barcelona cruise port from Sitges. The communication was great with the tour operator, and I spoke with him via WhatsApp the night before, but the day of the transfer we did not see the transportation tour guide to take us to our Barcelona cruise port, and I spoke with someone several times that morning while we were waiting and they said that the driver would call me when he arrived. He never called and then after waiting 15--20 minutes, I was told that he left because he did not see us, but he never called. We gave the exact address where we were but the pick up point was directly across the street so I know we did not miss him. I ended up having to get a local taxi to take us to the cruise port, which made me very nervous because by that time we were getting nervous about making it on time considering it was five adults with 6 large pieces of luggage. The first taxi that arrived said we had too much luggage and too many people so they would not take us and they called for another taxi. This was the main reason why I had booked through via tour because I was worried about this happening, but it did work out with the local transportation company. I have asked for a refund and it is being reviewed. It is now been a week since I have asked for a refund and have yet to receive anything. I also sent pictures of my phone call list that day and nothing came from a driver, but there were four outgoing calls from me to Viator during the time we were waiting so hopefully this will be resolved and I can continue being loyal to Viator

Good transfer experience
Excellent safe transfer. Excellent safe transfer. Hard to use 49 characters. 76. Characters is a lot to describe a taxi ride.

Never showed up
The driver never came. We called the number twice. At one they said the driver was on the way (although we had been waiting and looking for him since 12). At 1:18 we called again and they said the driver came and waited 15 minutes and left because we never showed. We never saw a driver. We were waiting in the lobby as instructed (which is very small) but they never showed. We had to get a taxi instead. Do not recommend.

Why this scores 40
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Transfer from Sitges to Barcelona Cruise Terminal: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does Private Transfer from Sitges to Barcelona Cruise Terminal cost?
+
Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Transfer from Sitges to Barcelona Cruise Terminal take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is Private Transfer from Sitges to Barcelona Cruise Terminal worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 40 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Transfer from Sitges to Barcelona Cruise Terminal?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Transfer from Sitges to Barcelona Cruise Terminal suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Transfer from Sitges to Barcelona Cruise Terminal?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Transfer from Sitges to Barcelona Cruise Terminal start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
