Good driver but late arrival
Call ahead of time to make sure they go to the right cruise port to pick you up. We indicated which cruise port we were arriving into which showed up on our confirmation but the driver went to the wrong port anyway so we were picked up 20 minutes later than scheduled.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the approximately 20-minute delay. We would like to clarify that the reservation included the name of the cruise ship, but a specific cruise terminal or pickup address was not provided. As some ships may use different terminals or berths, this unfortunately caused confusion regarding the exact pickup location. We understand that we could have handled this better, and we will take this experience into consideration to ensure we verify the exact pickup terminal more carefully in similar situations in the future. We appreciate your patience and feedback, and we are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Bad experience booking round-trip from the cruise port and Blue Lagoon.
I had a bad experience. Originally, I booked with TripAdvisor from the cruise port to Blue Lagoon.. No email confirmation was sent to me. I had a similar experience before with TripAdvisor. Therefore, I booked a return trip from Blue Lagoon to the Cruise port through Viator.com and I promptly received an email confirmation. One to two weeks later, I went into TripAdvisor and found my reservation, then cancelled it. Again, no email confirmation. But from the TripAdvisor site I saw that it was cancelled. That's why I re-booked through Viator.com. I thought it would be easier to have a round-trip arranged by Viator. And I trusted Viator better because of communications even though, I know TripAdvisor owns Viator. We had a lot of communication with Alaa of Nordova Travel many times. There were very good communications. The last email communication was done on Aug. 16th. Confirmed round-trip was made. However, there was no phone number provided for the driver and no one contacted us by email either from Nordova. At the same time, on August 15th we got an email from Gulli who mentioned he would pick us up on Aug. 16th and give us his phone number. Then on Aug. 16th he called and communicated through my son, Albert and he would wait outside our Viking Mars cruise ship at 1:45 PM. We met him at exactly 1:45 PM. Then he drove us to the Blue Lagoon and he wanted to charge us on site quoting a price of 23,000 ISK and we told them that we prepared it already. However, he said that he did not receive it. Finally, we called Viator and realized that it was a different booking. After a long conversation, we finally solved this problem. We had to pay the driver, then get a refund from Viator. In summary, Nordova Travel did not contact with us on Aug. 17th at all. That was why we assumed the other driver had come from Nordova. But we did take the return trip from Blue Lagoon back to the cruise port using the driver from Nordova Travel. This driver's English was somewhat limited. I will recommend Nordova Travel to communicate with booking clients before picking up passengers either by phone or by email on Aug. 17th specifying car's license number or the driver's name. Also, phone number if needed. Finally, I will not use TripAdvisor anymore but I trust Viator. It's because I found out TripAdvisor did not communicate with customers through email. The whole problem happened when TripAdvisor did not notify the original company they contacted with. The company's name could have been Iceland Airport Taxi? Thank you for your patience reading through the whole comments.
Response from the operator: Dear Harold, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We sincerely regret the confusion and frustration you experienced during your trip. As you mentioned, we had been in regular communication with you before your service, and we appreciate your recognition of our communication. The main issue on the outbound journey was unfortunately caused by confusion between separate bookings and a driver from another provider, who contacted and picked you up before you met our assigned driver. We understand how this situation could have caused confusion, and we are sorry that you had to deal with this unexpected issue. Once we became aware of what had happened, we explained that the vehicle you had entered was not our Nordova Travel vehicle and that our driver was still waiting for you. You chose to continue to the Blue Lagoon, and we were then pleased to provide your return transfer from the Blue Lagoon back to your cruise ship as requested. We also appreciate your feedback regarding providing additional driver and vehicle details before pickup. We understand that clearer identification information can help avoid confusion, especially at busy cruise terminals, and we will take your comments seriously as we continue improving our service. We are sorry that your overall experience was affected by the confusion surrounding the separate TripAdvisor booking and the other provider. However, we are grateful that we were able to communicate with you and successfully provide your return transportation. Thank you again for your feedback and for choosing Nordova Travel. We wish you safe and pleasant travels.

Private transf
It takes between 30 to 60 minutes to get to the Blue Lagoon from the cruise port in Reykjavik. Our driver George was excellent! If only our return driver was as welcoming and charismatic
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind message. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your tour and that George made such a positive impression. We will be sure to pass your wonderful feedback on to him—he will be very happy to hear your kind words. We are, however, sorry that your return transfer did not provide the same welcoming experience. Your feedback is very important to us, and we will discuss it with our team to ensure we continue delivering the high standard of service our guests expect. Thank you again for choosing Nordova Travel. We truly appreciate your honest feedback and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Iceland in the future. Kind regards, Nordova Travel Team.

Why this scores 47
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Transfer from Reykjavik Cruise Port to Blue Lagoon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.
How much does Private Transfer from Reykjavik Cruise Port to Blue Lagoon cost?
+
Prices start at $155 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Transfer from Reykjavik Cruise Port to Blue Lagoon take?
+
Plan for about 0.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.
Is Private Transfer from Reykjavik Cruise Port to Blue Lagoon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Transfer from Reykjavik Cruise Port to Blue Lagoon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Transfer from Reykjavik Cruise Port to Blue Lagoon suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Transfer from Reykjavik Cruise Port to Blue Lagoon?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 0.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Transfer from Reykjavik Cruise Port to Blue Lagoon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?
+
On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Reykjavik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
