    Great experience

Good price for a private shuttle. They arrived about 20min late but the ride was great! We connected our music and got a bathroom break mid-way. The driver also waited for us at the grocery store to drop us off at our airbnb.

Response from the operator: We appreciate you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. It was a joy to remain in touch with you consistently, and for us, assisting our clients with essential information and beyond is important. Our primary objective is to lead you to your destination secure and pleasant, while also offering information to the fullest extent. Thank you again for booking our services.

Beware: Driver brings family and detours to drop them off halfway thru the trio

Booked our 2.5 hour “Private car ride” from Antigua to Panajachel, to be greeted by a van with passengers already in the front seat bench with the driver. It was his family. Thought it was strange , but then figured it was a Sunday, maybe they live in Panajachel, made a day trip to Antigua, and were going home for the night in our private car ride, fine. But no, he made a detour to his wife’s hometown half way there, to drop them off. This detour took us through the southern route, hairpin curve after hairpin curve with no street lights. It was a cramped, rickety van. Totally empathize with family needs, but it shouldn’t have been sold to us as a “private car ride” at $50 per person. Feel like our time and money were taken advantage of.

Response from the operator: I am really sorry madam for taking your air/oxygen. You are right, I should have driven a small sedan just enough to fit 3 people and small luggage because that was actually what you paid for. But instead I drove a van that fits 12 people, the van has 4 rows, each rows fits 3 people. The front row it is always assigned for the driver and a co-driver (especially on a night long-ride) like in this case because the customer required to be picked up in Antigua from 6:30PM to 7:00 PM on a transfer to Panajachel, so it is suggested to have a co-driver. Then last minute, the customer required a pick up at 4:30, I was flexible and picked them up at 5pm (I should have been very strict with the booking and do not accept changes). This was a very busy weekend and driving at night after a long day of work, the best thing to do was to have a co-driver (my wife in this case). Zoe is an expert driver in our team. I brought her to help me on my way back From Patzun to Antigua. Most customers that I have driven at night always ask me if I am going back after dropping them because it is a long ride (a almost 6 hours’ drive round trip) and they think I will stay in Panajachel, those customers have shown care about me going back home alone at night, but “not in this case”. Well, is not the customer’s problem, right? However what happens to me on the way back is my problem. :) But I am an expert driver and nothing will happen.  So, my customer in this case had 3 rows for themselves where they had a lot of room for them and their suitcases. I even saw the lady laying down on the seats. Unfortunately having no baby sitter on Sunday, we decided to bring our two little and very quiet kids that didn’t bother at all the one hour and 15 minutes to Patzun. Zoe (my wife and co-driver) was sitting in the co-driver seat with the two kids (front row) so that they will not interfere with the customers. Zoe was staying at her parents’ house in Patzun while I was heading to Panajachel from Patzun to complete the transfer of our dear customers, and I was supposed to meet Zoe (my co-driver and wife) and kids on my way back so she could help me drive the rest of the way to Antigua as it happened actually. I didn’t see any problem on this, except probably stealing the air from my dear customer. If you do not know the roads in Guatemala, please don’t talk. The typical and the quickest way to reach Panajachel from Antigua is as follows: (I know the roads like the palm of my hand and I could navigate with my eyes closed ) and this is the route that I chose on the day of this transfer, as normally we take this route unless some issue arises. Antigua- Jocotenango-El Tejar-Paticia-Patzun-Godinez-Las Cuces-San Andres Semetabaj-Panajachel If you have never been to Guaemala, you should know that most of our roads are winding and dark. I could have choosen the second option to get to Panajachel wich is longer in distance. (winding roads also) Antigua- Jocotenango-El Tejar-Paticia-Tecpan-Chupol-Chujulimul-Las Trampas-Panimache-Las Cuces-San Andres Semetabaj-Panajachel. (maybe my customer knew this route and wanted to be drive on a longer distance and foggy route) There are other routes to get to Panajachel from Antigua which are even longer in distance. (south via Cocales and San Lucas Toliman)    All the roads in The country of Guatemala (except city streets) are dark as there are no lights or minimum. I WONDER what “the trio is”??????? In two words unbelievable comment!!!
