International Transfer with Holiday Extras and Hoppa
Due to the fact i could not find many reviews online that were positive for International Transfer in LAX organised through Holiday Extras who then sub contracted this out to Hoppa. We were travelling to LA from Heathrow and landing on Christmas Eve 2024 - Due to arriving in at 18:30 PM we wanted to make sure we had a transfer booked and not reply on Uber or Taxi. We had to travel down to Costa Mesa after arrival so looking at 45 mins to 1hr transfer. In trying to pre book an Uber it was looking at only being able to book a black car and they wanted $300 each way!!! Our flight from Heathrow for two was only £1k so we were not willing to book that. The Booking So after a lot of research in the UK and talking with some friends I know who have done this trip we decided to book the international transfer through Holiday Extras as on Black Friday i got this for £108 RETURN!!! Holiday extras offered a gurentee (you can see this online so wont go over that) but i was Thats good, but we are landing PM USA time and then need to ensure we contact someone UK Christmas early hours of. They assured me the numbers would be answered 24/7 365 so i booked it. All booking info came through and when it did all emergency numbers were either Singapore or Hong Kong!!! So i checked with Holiday extras and they assured me that everything would go to plan. I would be contacted near the date with further details. Process On the 23rd (day before travel and arrival) we had a message from Hoppa - this came through WhatsApp and detailed everything. I was like who is Hoppa and wish i had not googled and looked up reviews!! As i could not find ONE positive one but also NONE for USA / LA. Main concerns - what is flight was late, what if they dont arrive and extra cost for car and delayed refund due to Christmas. I decided to forget it and worry about it on arrival. Arrival Once I turned my phone on i had a WhatsApp from the driver who clearly told me what to do. I messaged him to say that we were in emigration. Once we cleared emigration i notified him of waiting for bags and he replied each time. He was waiting off site at LAX. He asked to message once we have bags. He then told us what floor at LAX car park to go to and within 5 mins of coming outside he arrived. Pro - Communication was awesome and car was nice and large for two large cases and hand bags and us (i paid for an SUV and a little more) I also received a message off of my son who gave us a different address to go to different to that booked and this was not an issue. Drive was smooth and we were at apartment in 40mins Con - The driver was obviously a smoker and although wasn’t smoking the car smelt, but was so glad he arrived was not a major issue. Due to it being Christmas Eve i tipped $30 on top of what was pre paid - there was no pressure for tip and driver very grateful. Departure Again reviews that i had read on Hoppa had said that there was often NOT collection. We were leaving LA on the 6th Jan 5th Jan we had a message from Hoppa and then quickly the drive. Pick up was due at 17:00 for our return flight and needed an hour allowance - Driver actually arrived early and messaged no rush - picture was sent of car and where parked at our hotel pick up. Drive was great (and funny ) made us laugh all the way to LAX - she also took a different route to ensure we got there in plenty of time as she knew the traffic really well. I would defiantly use Holliday Extras International Transfer again and hope that this review will show up to help people not have the concerns i had before travel.

Wonderful Pick Up Drop off
My mother, my boyfriend and I took a Viking cruise together that ended in Tianjin. We thought that it was going to be ending in Beijing. Because our day excursions were there. But we soon realized when we were already on the boat that this port was quite a distance from Beijing. And we had planned a few days in beijing on our own (highly recommend doing this). So at the last minute, while traveling, I went online and found Linda’s car service. She was there right on time to pick us up at the port. She communicated with us the whole time before we got there. Payment was easy. She was very nice, no nonsense, and spoke great english. Her car was in great shape. She’s an excellent driver. She dropped us off right at the hotel and everything went so smoothly. If you have to take a trip to or from Beijing before or after a cruise ported in Tianjin, we HIGHLY recommend linda’s car service. She also offers day trips to the Great Wall, which I would have done instead of the free excursion with Viking which was so long and exhausting. (Far East discovery cruise)

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.
How much does Private Transfer between Tianjin Port and Beijing Hotels cost?

Is Private Transfer between Tianjin Port and Beijing Hotels worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Private Transfer between Tianjin Port and Beijing Hotels suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Transfer between Tianjin Port and Beijing Hotels?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Transfer between Tianjin Port and Beijing Hotels start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Beijing?
+
On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Beijing?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Beijing?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
