Poor poor service
I arrived in Cancun and didn’t get to my hotel for four hours because of the horrible coordination Destination Services made. Saturday I had a tour of Chichen Itza. I got a text from destination services. It said I need to verify flight information that day. I was already on the tour. I couldn’t do that, but they never responded my further texts. Then on day three, I went to the lobby of the hotel to meet with the destination services rep. What was more important to him was booking other people on tours than making sure that I was able to get back to the airport after I had already paid. Jonhy was his name. He was rude and unhelpful. I’m still not sure how I’m getting to the airport, but I’m really tempted to blow these people off because they’re rude as heck and don’t give a damn about anything but new business. Lo and behold, Roberto from Tui showed to help me!

Not reliable
Had booked this company for transfer to and from airport to hotel. Had trouble at the airport (they had the wrong number of people, even though I had submitted the correct number) but we eventually got to the hotel. However, for the return to the airport, 45 minutes after the time they told us, they had not shown up and we were forced to take a taxi.

Horrible
What a joke of a company. We used them to transfer us to the Riu Palace in Playa Del Carmen. They are very untimely and unprofessional. Do not count on them to get you to your hotel or back to the airport.

Cancun vacation
They drive reckless and my neck was sore from all the hard breaking. They don’t offer beverages. Driver was on his 📱while driving. He had to use his phone to find the hotel.

An unreliable transportation company
They refused to board us on arrival claiming we arrived too late. We arrived at the airport, went thru Mexican Immigration and picked up our luggage and exited the airport as would any traveller. We exited the airport 55 mins after our flight landed. They had a car available and refused to take us to our hotel. We were left stranded and were forced to try to negotiate transportation with unknown individuals in the airport. Very dangerous and irresponsible from this transfer company. A total scam.
Response from the operator: Hello, we are so sorry to read about this incident, could you email us to brian.garrido@bdstravels.com To tell us more about the whole situation, we are working to be better, this will help us.

Why this scores 42
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Transfer- Airport-Hotel Cancun Up 1 to 5 Passengers: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Private Transfer- Airport-Hotel Cancun Up 1 to 5 Passengers cost?
+
Prices start at $46 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Transfer- Airport-Hotel Cancun Up 1 to 5 Passengers take?
+
Plan for about 0.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Private Transfer- Airport-Hotel Cancun Up 1 to 5 Passengers worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 42 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 147 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Transfer- Airport-Hotel Cancun Up 1 to 5 Passengers?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Transfer- Airport-Hotel Cancun Up 1 to 5 Passengers suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Transfer- Airport-Hotel Cancun Up 1 to 5 Passengers?
+
Around 51 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 0.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Transfer- Airport-Hotel Cancun Up 1 to 5 Passengers start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
