    About this experience

Full day tours last 8 hours. Half day tours last 5 hours. If you are looking for an informative educational tour with in-depth explanations, then this is for you. Learn about the Polynesian way of life, its customs, geology, flora, fauna and history. I have lived in on Tahiti since 1993. I married a Polynesian in 1995. I have the impression that I was destined to become a guide, in fact my husband Coco’s family name is Faaterehia which can mean to guide and I just adore guiding visitors around this stunning island. Perhaps there is something to the Polynesians belief that the name you give your children can influence their character. Today I am one of the most experienced guides on Tahiti and id be delighted to show you some of our sites. Places visited will depend on the time available, tours can be personalized and include a maximum number of sites depending on the length of the tour chosen. I also have other tour options listed such as city tours and west or east coast tours

    Excellent private tour

An excellent private full day tour for 2. Lydia is as informative and interesting a tour guide as any we have ever had. Couple that with the beautiful island, and this is a wonderful tour.

Great tour in a small group

We booked this half day tour via our hotel, we selected it as it specified a small group. Lydia picked us up from the hotel in her comfortable vehicle. There were just two others on the trip which gave us plenty of space. Lydia was very informative about the history, local traditions, flora etc. We saw some great places. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tahiti. Thanks for a great afternoon.

Great day in Tahiti with Lydia

We had sunshine and Lydia, both wonderful. Our tour was a full day and we visited traditional religious sights, beautiful gardens and amazing waterfalls. While the surf was not up we did get to imagine Olympic surfing. Lunch of local food and viewing points high above the clouds. Lydia provided us with safe travel, current and past history and all done in a fun informative way. Highly reccommend

Go on a Guided Tour of Tahiti with Lydia

If you are looking for a private tour of Tahiti, Lydia is the one to select. Her knowledge about Tahiti is impressive. We thoroughly enjoyed the different parts of Tahiti Lydia brought us to. She shared with us her vast historical and current knowledge of Tahiti. At the end of the tour, we leave with a good sense of the island. Lydia is your best choice to guide you through Tahiti.

Private Tours of Tahiti by Lydia. Full or Half Day: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Papeete.

How much does Private Tours of Tahiti by Lydia. Full or Half Day cost?

    +

Prices start at $650 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Papeete usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tours of Tahiti by Lydia. Full or Half Day take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Papeete is not rushed.

Is Private Tours of Tahiti by Lydia. Full or Half Day worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 48 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Papeete, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tours of Tahiti by Lydia. Full or Half Day?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tours of Tahiti by Lydia. Full or Half Day suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tours of Tahiti by Lydia. Full or Half Day?

    +

Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Papeete can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Papeete and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tours of Tahiti by Lydia. Full or Half Day start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Papeete within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Papeete?

    +

On Outty we rank every Papeete experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 5 Hours Tahiti Island Tour - West and East Coast, Moorea 4WD Tour: Magic Mountain, Belvedere, Pineapple Road & More, Moorea 6-Hour Snorkeling and Lunch Shared Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Papeete?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Papeete?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
