Through the eyes of "A Young Archaeologist," you will discover Mesoamerica and its cultures and regions. My objective is to show you that pre-Hispanic history in this country goes beyond just the Maya and Aztecs. I will take you to the main exhibition halls to explore the masterpieces of each culture. We will discuss their history, religion, politics, economy, architecture, and traditions. Together, we will understand their possible meanings. By the end, you will have knowledge of the great variety of cultures in the past and their processes over time. Additionally, you will see why this museum is the favorite space of this archaeologist. Fantastic experience with a wonderful guide
The best experience! David is incredibly knowledgeable and personable. An archeologist and passionate about his field, he is able to breakdown the complex history across timelines and civilizations. We throughly enjoyed our session with David, and booked a subsequent Teotihuacan tour with him.

Booking the Anthropology Museum and Pyramids private tours with David (Pakalito) for our group of 4 was hands down the highlight of our trip! David’s actual background in archaeology brings a depth of historical context and unique insights that you simply cannot get from a standard tour guide. Both days were perfectly paced with the ideal balance of exploring, learning, and well-timed breaks. David is incredibly patient, engaging, and jovial, making every moment fun and fascinating. On top of guiding us through the key sites, he gave incredible overall context, showed us hidden details, and pointed out the absolute best local places to eat and explore. If you are coming to Mexico City, touring with David is an absolute must!

Pakalito transformed our visit to the Anthropology Museum
We are so glad we booked this private tour. Pakalito was exceptionally prepared and knowledgeable about an extraordinary range of ancient and modern Mexican history. As a trained anthropologist who has participated in excavations and research in the region, he brought a firsthand perspective that made the museum come alive for us. We learned an enormous amount about Mesoamerica and the pre-Classic, Classic, and post-Classic eras. Pakalito answered our many questions with authority, clarity, and an obvious enthusiasm for the subject. The National Museum of Anthropology is huge, and during our time together we saw only a small portion of its collections. Even so, we came away understanding much more than we ever would have on our own. His explanations helped us appreciate not simply the object we were looking at, but why the artifacts and collections were significant and how they fit into the larger history of Mexico. Pakalito also offers other tours of the museum, and we fully intend to book with him again on a future visit. If you have the opportunity to tour the museum with him, do it.

Amazing tour of the Anthropology Museum with a passionate expert
We consider ourselves lucky to have found Pakalito to give us a tour of the Anthropology Museum. He did a great job of providing context and background and telling the through story of the cultures and history of Mexico. His expertise and passion for the subject were evident from the beginning, and made what could be an overwhelming "look at all of these artifacts" into something that made sense. This was actually our second time doing a tour of the anthropology museum. Our first time on a previous trip we hired a guide who didn't have any particular background in the area, and we left confused. We wanted to experience with the museum with someone who knew what they were talking about, and Pakalito certainly did. We are learning Spanish, and Pakalito was happy to give us the tour in easier-to-understand Spanish while effortlessly switching to English when it was clear we weren't getting something. We really appreciated his patience!
