Nubian Village
First our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel or Nile cruise in Aswan to enjoy sailing on the Nile River for one hour with felucca (Nubian Sail Boat) then change to a motorboat which will take you to the Nubian Village beach to enjoy swimming in the Nile (optional) then to the Nubian village itself which is located on West Bank of the Nile River just opposite to Soheil Island and near the Aswan Dam,. There you meet and interact with a Nubian family and learn about their simple lifestyle, culture, language, traditions and their unique style of buildings with colorful decorations. Afterwards you'll be transferred back to your hotel or Nile cruise in Aswan.

Unforgettable Day
We had an absolutely fantastic time with Omar! We originally booked just a sunset felucca ride, but after speaking with him, we decided to add a visit to the Nubian Village, and we are SO glad we did! It turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Omar picked us up in his private motorboat, which was beautiful, spacious, and extremely clean. It was perfect for our family of four and honestly nicer than most of the other boats we saw on the Nile. We started our journey enjoying fresh mangoes, which the kids loved, while Omar shared interesting stories and information about the Nile, the surrounding area, and Nubian culture. Our first stop was the beautiful Nubian Village, where we had time to walk around, explore, and enjoy some tea. The kids even got to hold a crocodile, which was definitely one of their highlights! We also visited a wonderful spice shop and brought home some delicious spices. Another highlight for the kids was getting to swim in the Nile! We could have joined them, but unfortunately hadn’t brought our swimsuits. After visiting the village, we transferred to a traditional felucca sailboat operated by Omar’s brother. His boat was equally beautiful and incredibly comfortable. We were able to stretch out, relax, enjoy tea, and take in the most spectacular sunset. It truly couldn’t have been more perfect! Omar’s brother was so kind, and we enjoyed chatting with him about all sorts of things while peacefully sailing along the Nile. The sunset, the atmosphere, and the company made it an unforgettable experience. Afterward, Omar picked us up again and drove us back. Throughout the day, he was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. As a proud Nubian, he shared so much about his culture and traditions, which we found fascinating. Our son enjoyed learning about Nubian culture so much that he was joking about wanting to become Nubian himself! Overall, this was a fantastic experience from beginning to end and truly one of the highlights of our trip to Egypt. Both boats were exceptionally nice, the entire experience felt personal and relaxed, and Omar and his brother made us feel so welcome. We would 100% recommend booking with Omar, and if you’re considering adding the Nubian Village to your sunset felucca ride, absolutely do it! You won’t regret it! Paid $50 for Felucca and & $60 for Nubian Village.

Worth it
Really worth. Good sailing tour and the motorboat slovly takes you up river to see the area and the sandy beach where you can take a swim. Omar our guide was very good and explained the Nubian history and showed the village with no rush.

Wow! What an afternoon!! Highly recommend this tour
Wow! Had a wonderful afternoon exploring the Nubian village with Omar and his team. It was the perfect day. He was punctual and very professional. Everything went smoothly. I would’ve liked a little more time to explore the local crafts for souvenirs. Perhaps a few minutes can be built into the tour for shopping. The camel ride, holding a baby crocodile, learning about and sampling herbs and spices from Dr Tito, and swimming in the Nile were highlights. Hibiscus tea was delicious. Highly recommend this tour that is run by Nubians.

Trustworthy and thoughtful experience!
Omar was an incredible guide, one of the best we had during our 9 day trip across Aswan, Luxor, and Cairo. His love and pride for his Nubian culture could not be replicated with another guide. Additionally the transportation - car & boat - were far above par from our other tours. We deeply appreciated the thoughtful gestures such as cold mango and chai on the boat ride. Omar was so helpful that he was able to help us get a car to Abu Simbel when another tour fell through. The Nubian community and tour guide community connected through Omar are incredibly hospitable and kind.
