    The Best of Egypt

In November 2024 my husband and I were fortunate to take what has always been a dream vacation of ours to Egypt. Thanks to a friend, we were encouraged to travel with Ahmed Motawie’s Egyptian based company, Egypt Guided Tours. The 2 week trip itinerary was aptly called ‘The Best of Egypt’ and lived up to it’s name in every way. From pyramids and tombs to temples and museums traveling with Ahmed, we never felt rushed or overwhelmed with information touring the sights. As an experienced guide and Egyptologist, Ahmed gave us an exceptional insight into Egyptian history and culture and was always eager to answer our many questions. The Nile River cruise and time at a resort in Hurghada on the Red Sea even allowed us time to relax and appreciate the natural beauty of Egypt, a perfect balance to exploring the many historic wonders. There were so many wonderful experiences, from wandering the streets of old Cairo to buggy rides, boat trips and of course the highlight camel ride across the desert at Giza. Every aspect of our trip was taken care of, from our arrival at the airport to our departure for home, including all transportation, flights, accommodation and entry fees. Ahmed was truly there for us in every way, sharing his knowledge and his country in a way that made for a very unique and special vacation. Our friend promised us this would be a vacation of a lifetime; Ahmed and Egypt Guided Tours delivered on that promise. Thanks Ahmed. This is one vacation we will always treasure.

    A journey through ancient Egypt

Our 10-day tour to Egypt was an unforgettable experience. We spent 4 days in Cairo, where we visited the iconic pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Egyptian Museum amongst other amazing places, all of which were awe-inspiring. The places we were taken to purchase perfume, spices and carpets were all very professionally run and Ahmed had a great rapport with the businesses. The 3-night Nile cruise was a highlight, allowing us to explore the temples of Luxor, Karnak, and Edfu, with the added luxury of cruising through picturesque landscapes. A boat excursion to the Nubian village allowed us a quick swim in the Nile and a lesson at the charming Nubian school. The hot air balloon ride was a highlight of the trip for us. Floating over the Valley of the Kings at sunrise with another 30+ balloons around us was an incredible sight. The few nights we spent in Hurghada were a nice, relaxing end to the trip, with plenty of time for snorkeling and enjoying the Red Sea. Ahmed was incredibly knowledgeable, providing us with rich historical insights that enhanced our experience. Overall, the trip was well-organized, comfortable, and absolutely worth the money spent. We got to see the major sights, learn a lot, and experience the best of what Egypt has to offer. We will not forget Ahmed’s passion and commitment to helping us understand the glory of ancient Egypt. Highly recommended!
