Our trip begins with our Guide M, who send us a message one day before to confirm our pick up hotel and time. The trip is well pace. we visited a nice waterfall, then a short walk at the highest point of the mountain. M provides many informative information along the way. Then we visited the twin pagoda, followed by lunch and did some shopping at the local market. The highlight of the trip is a 2 hours nature walk with another local guide from the village. The views of waterfalls and rice fields are amazing. Before heading back to Chiang Mai, we visited a coffee factory in the village. M is knowledgeable and drives safely. He manages the time well and we end the tour around 5pm. Wet towels, snacks and cold drinks are provided in his almost new and comfortable car. I would recommend this tour.

Tour cancelled with poor notification
Our tour was cancelled with poor notification. No message was sent via the Viator app where we expected all important communication (based on experience with numerous other bookings). We only discovered the cancellation once we checked our email after the scheduled pickup time had passed.
Response from the operator: Dear , client the cancellation email was sent since I clicked to cancel but we really did not know why you did not receive the notification Best Regard Wipop

Scenic Hike, Amazing Guide and Photos, A Private Tour Worth Taking!
We did the Private Tour to Doi Inthanon including Twin Pagodas and Hiking, and it was one of our favorite experiences in Thailand. Our guide, M, was once again outstanding. He drove safely, the car was spotless and air-conditioned, and we were provided with cold water and snacks throughout the day. M also took some amazing photos of us. Honestly one of the best reasons to book a private tour. He knew exactly how to capture the scenery and moments beautifully. The highlight of the tour was the Pla Dok Siao hike, a 2.6 km easy downhill trail through peaceful forest. We were guided by a local from Mae Klang Luang Village, who showed us stunning waterfalls, streams, and natural rock formations. It felt authentic and untouched, and we loved every minute of it. We also got the chance to taste some great coffee straight out from grinding the beans and into your cup! Yes, we got to grind the beans. You can’t get any fresher than this. A great ending to a national park visit. We also visited the Twin Pagodas, but due to the rainy season and the altitude, the area was covered in clouds with very little visibility. Still, it was a unique experience to be up there. We also went to the summit of Doi Inthanon, the highest point in Thailand, which added a nice sense of achievement to the day. Highly recommended if you enjoy nature, great photos, and a relaxed, personalized day away from the city.

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Tour to Doi Inthanon including Twins Pagodas and Hiking: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does Private Tour to Doi Inthanon including Twins Pagodas and Hiking cost?
+
Prices start at $115 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour to Doi Inthanon including Twins Pagodas and Hiking take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is Private Tour to Doi Inthanon including Twins Pagodas and Hiking worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour to Doi Inthanon including Twins Pagodas and Hiking?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tour to Doi Inthanon including Twins Pagodas and Hiking suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour to Doi Inthanon including Twins Pagodas and Hiking?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour to Doi Inthanon including Twins Pagodas and Hiking start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
