Incredible tour with Mahmoud Fawzy
Saqqara and the Serapeum are outside the main touristic sites but are absolute wonders which are worth a visit. We were very lucky to be guided by Mahmoud Fawzy, a very knowledgeable and kind guide who escorted us through the sites and explained clearly and in perfect English all the history, architecture and hidden facts of such incredible places. The Saqqara pyramids are unique and once you are inside you stop and think that you are inside buildings 5,000 years old which is incredible. The level of preservation of certain sites is also amazing. But I must say that the Serapeum was particularly stunning as it still holds many mysteries around its origin. We really appreciated also the driver who picked us up from our hotel and drove us to all the sites. The lunch place served good Egyptian food and was a very nice break from the warmer weather and strong sun. If you are planning a trip to Cairo, this tour should definitely be on your itinerary.

An exciting day in the middle of Egypt's antiquities
Khaled Hassan has excellent history and general knowledge, could answer almost any question. We have seen, visited, heard and experienced a lot. He has told exciting and with very good German. A great day with a graduation at a good restaurant in Giza. The best tour we've ever had in Egypt. Thank you so much!
Response from the operator: Danke für Ihre fantastische Bewertung und herzlich willkommen in Ägypten!

The guide makes all the difference! You get what you ask for! So ask!
Great communication from Aly tours!!! We booked 4 separate private tours with Aly Egypt. First one was to Saqqara, red and bent pyramids, old Memphis and the step pyramid of Djoser. Our guide Mohammed was great! A serious scholar and excellent at his craft. Two other tours were in Luxor (Karnak and Luxor temples, then Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut temple, Colossi of Memnon and Habu temple) with tour guide Moody. He was hilarious and certainly a seasoned actor. Unfortunately there was too many jokes and not enough substance for our interests. Our third excursion took us from Luxor to Dendara to see the amazing temple of Hathor and Abydos to see Seti I’d temple. Our guide Hami was AMAZING! He helped us understand the pieces that were missing from our Luxor guide and taught us so much more! I can’t say enough good things about him, except I wish we had had him in Luxor! Lovely human!! So, when booking, be sure to state your interests: informative or entertaining and you fully enjoy the experience. The drivers were all great annd trustworthy. Also, the lunches are with giant touring groups with mediocre meals. We wish we could have had more authentic choices. Maybe ask? Choose Aly Tours!!

A must do in Cairo!
Mahmoud was incredible! So knowledgeable and shared amazing knowledge about all the sites. Honestly, this was more impressive than Giza pyramids and far less crowded. We started at 8 am from Giza and missed all the crowds! This tour with him is a must do when visiting Cairo! I’m so glad we didn’t miss it and thank you Mahmoud for an amazing day.

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Tour to Dahshur Pyramids, Memphis, and Saqqara All Inclusive: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Private Tour to Dahshur Pyramids, Memphis, and Saqqara All Inclusive cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour to Dahshur Pyramids, Memphis, and Saqqara All Inclusive take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Private Tour to Dahshur Pyramids, Memphis, and Saqqara All Inclusive worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour to Dahshur Pyramids, Memphis, and Saqqara All Inclusive?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tour to Dahshur Pyramids, Memphis, and Saqqara All Inclusive suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour to Dahshur Pyramids, Memphis, and Saqqara All Inclusive?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour to Dahshur Pyramids, Memphis, and Saqqara All Inclusive start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
