    Memorable trip

Long 4 hr drive there but so worth it. They had prepurchased our tickets in advance so we did not have to wait in a long line. Everything ran smoothly. They were very nice and professional.

Worth the time investment from Prague to Auschwitz!

The experience of Auschwitz was life changing. As much as I knew as a Jewish person, I learned even more. There is nothing that can replace being there in person. My only suggestion is the driver needs to be more proficient in guests language! But Milan was very kind and great sense of humor!!!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your thoughtful review. We’re truly glad to hear that your visit to Auschwitz was such a meaningful and life-changing experience. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the driver's English skills. We'll certainly take your comments into consideration. At the same time, we're delighted that Milan's kindness and sense of humor made your journey enjoyable. Thank you for choosing to travel with us, and we hope to welcome you again in the future. 😊

If you have time go through Krakow

This is a quick way to do a tour of Auschwitz/ Birkenau in 1 day from Prague. But it is very expensive so if you have time I would suggest you take a train and stay in Krakow for a couple nights and take the tour from there. I did that the first time and you get to see Krakow also with only a short drive to Auschwitz.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review. We agree that visiting Auschwitz from Kraków is more time- and cost-efficient, as the museum is located much closer to Kraków than to Prague. The departure city, however, is clearly specified in the tour description, which is why the travel distance should not come as a surprise. That said, we truly appreciate your feedback and hope that you were satisfied with our service overall. Thank you for traveling with us

Very good way to visit from Prague

Our driver was amazing, the communication was fantastic. When we got to Auschwitz he showed us where to go and what to do for both sites. I'd recommend this way of doing this trip from Prague, it was money well spent.

    Amazing experience

It was a long ride but well worth it. Redek was amazing and got us to Auschwitz with time to spare. You will not regret taking this trip.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words! We’re so pleased to hear you felt the trip was worth it and that Radek made the journey smooth and timely. We’ll be sure to share your praise with him—he’ll be delighted. We’re glad you had a meaningful visit and appreciate your recommendation.

Private Tour to Auschwitz from Prague: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Prague.

How much does Private Tour to Auschwitz from Prague cost?

    +

Prices start at $235 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Prague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour to Auschwitz from Prague take?

    +

Plan for about 16 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Prague is not rushed.

Is Private Tour to Auschwitz from Prague worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Prague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour to Auschwitz from Prague?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private Tour to Auschwitz from Prague suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 16-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour to Auschwitz from Prague?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Prague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 16-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour to Auschwitz from Prague start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Prague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Prague?

    +

On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, Prague Essential Tour Old Town and Jewish Quarter. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Prague?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Prague?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
