What a day. What a guide.....
What a day!! Our driver Christian was amazing. We stopped off at a couple of little extra stops that we weren't expecting and I got to stroke a seallion. 😍 Christian was so talkative and didn't mind us asking all the daft questions he's probably heard a thousand times before. The wind was really bad the days prior to and on the morning of our tour and I was worried we wouldn't be able to do Table Mountain, but he arranged the day so we were able to do everything and he gave us plenty of time at each stop to have a proper look about. We took the scenic route out to Cape Point along the ocean road which was magical. We stopped at a harbour for lunch and even saw a penguin in the water. We saw several baboons, and Christian didn't mind stopping for us to watch and photograph them. He is a credit to the tour industry and a great guide. Keep doing what you're doing......
Response from the operator: Dear Caroline, Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed and heartfelt review. We’re over the moon to hear what a wonderful day you had with Christian. From the unexpected stops and special encounters (like the sealion and penguins 🐧😍) to the flexibility in rearranging the day so Table Mountain could be included, it’s clear that Christian went above and beyond to make your tour unforgettable. It’s great to know that his knowledge, patience, and passion for what he does shone through; he truly is a credit to our team and the industry. We’re so happy you were able to enjoy Cape Point, the scenic ocean road, wildlife sightings, and all the little magical moments along the way. We can’t thank you enough for your kind words and encouragement. Feedback like this inspires us to keep creating memorable experiences for all our guests. 🌟

Beautiful South Africa!
First, Samuel our guide was a true gentleman. He was polite and opened the doors for us on the vehicle at every stop of our private tour. He made vista stops on our request to take photos. The tour was outstanding and this is a not-to-miss tour when in Cape Town. I appreciated that all tickets were included with this one. Not all tours include ticket so read carefully.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review. We’re thrilled to hear Samuel made your private tour feel special—from opening doors to making every scenic photo stop happen. We’re delighted you found the experience “not-to-miss” and that the all-inclusive tickets made things effortless (you’re right—many tours don’t include entries). We’ll be sure to share your compliments with Samuel. We can’t wait to welcome you back to Cape Town.

Our guide made this tour an unforgettable one!
Armand was simply the best! Couldn’t have had a better guide: he not only has a vast knowledge about all the details of this great Cape Town tour itself, but about the history, flora, fauna, marine life and whatever you want to know about South Africa. This tour is a must for first timers. I absolutely recommend to do it as soon as you arrive in Cape Town. We were a family of five, and Armand explained everything so thoroughly that helped us all understand the way of life in Cape Town.

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Tour: Table Mountain, Penguin Colony & Cape of Good Hope incl. Park Fees: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does Private Tour: Table Mountain, Penguin Colony & Cape of Good Hope incl. Park Fees cost?
+
Prices start at $2599 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour: Table Mountain, Penguin Colony & Cape of Good Hope incl. Park Fees take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is Private Tour: Table Mountain, Penguin Colony & Cape of Good Hope incl. Park Fees worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour: Table Mountain, Penguin Colony & Cape of Good Hope incl. Park Fees?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tour: Table Mountain, Penguin Colony & Cape of Good Hope incl. Park Fees suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour: Table Mountain, Penguin Colony & Cape of Good Hope incl. Park Fees?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour: Table Mountain, Penguin Colony & Cape of Good Hope incl. Park Fees start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins Day Tour from Cape Town, Table Mountain, Boulders Penguins and Cape point Day Tour, Wine Tour: Paarl, Franschhoek & Stellenbosch incl 3 wineries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
