He hailed from Iran and served Akbar. He was the father of the famous Nur-Jehan and grandfather of Mumtaz-Mahal of the Taj Mahal fame. He was made Vazir (Prime Minister) after Nur Jehan's marriage with Jehangir in 1611. He held the mansab of 7000/7000 and the title : "I'timad-Ud-Daulah" (The Lord treasurer).

Amazing Taj Mahal Tour Experience
Had an amazing experience visiting the Taj Mahal. The entire tour was very well organized from start to finish. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and explained the history in a way that kept everything interesting instead of feeling rushed or boring. The drive there and back was smooth, comfortable, and well planned, which made the whole day much less stressful. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely one of the highlights of my trip to India. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting.

Great tour, made us feel like family
We had a magical time on the Sunrise Tour and highly recommend this company. This is the second time I’ve used this company and they exceeded my expectations both times. They are exceptionally good at making you feel like family - both the owner and the driver. Their communication before, during, and after our trip was clear and easy. The SUV was clean and comfortable. Couldn’t ask for anything more. As for the Taj, we were debating whether to sacrifice some sleep to make it for sunrise, but I’m glad we did. We arrived just before sunrise and the crowds weren’t too bad, by the time we left an hour or two later the place was extremely crowded. The roads in India are not for the faint of heart, but the expressway to the Taj is actually very nicely paved and there are rest stops along the way. Also there was zero traffic and much fewer cars than usual early am. We were still on US time when we left and were wide awake. On the ride back we were exhausted and slept the whole way, which felt great.

Amazing tour! Chaman is the best, he gives you all the advice you need for a real indian experience. If you like indian food, he will bring you to the best local restaurants! He made us feel happy and safe.

Awesome experience, enjoyed every bit of it. Mantun ji is very humble honest and trustworthy person. He is very Family friendly, he has detailed knowledge of the routes and places guides you through. Patiently listens to our request / questions, answers gracefully. Highly recommend him and his company -Sony Dugggal. We have completed the gold triangle trip(Delhi Agra and Jaipur)
