Your voyage begins with a drive through lush farmlands and rolling hills of the Castelli Romani region, just south of Rome. Abbazia Di Montecassino
Founded by Saint Benedict in 529, Montecassino is one of Europe's oldest monasteries and the birthplace of the Benedictine order. Over the centuries the abbey has suffered numerous disasters, from being sacked by a variety of invaders to being destroyed by an earthquake, and it has been rebuilt numerous times. During WWII, Montecassino abbey was almost completely destroyed during the famous battle that bears its name. After the war, the abbey was carefully rebuilt and reconsecrated by Pope Paul VI in 1964.

A beautiful experience with a fantastic host
Our driver, Ricardo, was a lovely host as we ventured to and from Pompeii, Naples, and around Rome. He provided interesting facts while also making sure we experienced everything we wanted. He also went above and beyond to find and reserve us a table at a fantastic restaurant. The experience was every bit as fantastic as the sights!

Good but nor enough time
Not enough time, need more in Pompeii, no time for more than lunch later, better done ad two separate tours. Riccardo was great informative and helpfull

Matt did a great job...
Matt did a great job navigating and giving us suggestions re where to stop as we had some time on the way to our destination. He was flexible in letting us change from Pompeii to Herculaneum which we really enjoyed and Matt, having never having been there researched it and dropped us off at the front. He was friendly and knowledgeable and then suggested stopping at the limoncello factory in Sorrento when he heard us talking about it. Overall had a great experience!
