ThankYou!
Drivers drive carefully and with peace of mind. We were taken to a local restaurant instead of a tourist restaurant. When I asked if there was any beer for drinks, I was told that they didn't have beer, but a local person who was present gave me one. thank you.

Highly personalized service and great prices
Fermin, offered a top notch and highly personalized service to our family of four. They offered service to and from the airport and took us on tour to Tulum. Fermin made a stop for us at the super market on the way to our condo, which made the start of our vacation so much easier. They later took us on a tour to Tulum and a cenote. UnitTravel believes in championing local businesses, so they will take you to areas with great restaurants for your pick vs negotiating meals at tourist restaurants. Fermin offers tours to your personal needs rather than force you into a mass group tour. UnitTravel’s driver is also a really fun and professional guy with great English. We loved working with them and will call Fermin on every return to the Rivera Maya. 5 star service!

Good combination of wildlife and Mayan ruins
Our driver, Juan, picked us up at the hotel dead on time and was polite and smart with excellent English. We had a long drive to Rio Lagartos. He told us a bit about the villages we drove through and pointed out landmarks. When we got to the lake, unfortunately the usual boat captain was ill so he arranged for someone else to take us. Juan said he got seasick so we were on the boat with someone who didn't speak English, although he did point out the wildlife. My main aim was to see the flamingos which we did do - the best view of them was on the way back near the small harbour. We had a delicious lunch in a local restaurant - do not miss the fresh fish and shrimp. On the way back Juan took us round Ek Balam, which was interesting and the perfect Mayan site - not as big as Chichen Itza but more compact, less crowded and you can climb the steps of the main temple to see a great view at the top. A full day with a good combination of wildlife and ruins!

The day was wonderful! Fermin...

The day was wonderful! Fermin arrived right on time at my hotel. He drove a very comfortable, clean van. He was prepared for the heat with cold towels and water. He offered me my choice of routes. The slower scenic way vs the toll road. He told interesting stories about the countryside and the villages we passed through. We met up with his friend in Rio Lagartos who had his boat ready to go. We had a lovely boat ride out to the salt pans passing by alligators, egrets, black hawks, pelicans and two roseate spoonbills. The salt pans were a surreal combination of stark colors ..the white salt, the blue sky, the orange water and the flamingos. It was spectacular! After a great lunch of fresh fish we headed to Ek Balam. Along the way Fermin showed me some fascinating ruins of old Mayan and colonial structures. I highly recommend Fermin and will happily look for him again when I return to the Yucatán.

Why this scores 49
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Tour: Pink Flamingos, Maya Temples and Ek Balam: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Private Tour: Pink Flamingos, Maya Temples and Ek Balam cost?
+
Prices start at $495 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour: Pink Flamingos, Maya Temples and Ek Balam take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Private Tour: Pink Flamingos, Maya Temples and Ek Balam worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour: Pink Flamingos, Maya Temples and Ek Balam?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tour: Pink Flamingos, Maya Temples and Ek Balam suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour: Pink Flamingos, Maya Temples and Ek Balam?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour: Pink Flamingos, Maya Temples and Ek Balam start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
