Pass by without stopping
Parc de la Mar
Meet your private guide in central Palma de Mallorca, and enjoy a leisurely stroll to the ‘monumental area’ where many of the city’s sights can be seen. As you walk, ask your guide as many questions about the city and the island of Mallorca as you wish; the beauty of a private guide is that the commentary is tailored to your interests.

Failing Grade for Viator
Our ship unexpectedly landed us in commercial port in Mallorca. We were expecting to walk from the cruise terminal. We contacted the office once we left the ship and asked for directions to our meeting point since we were almost 3 km from our expected drop off. The office worker told us they were on the other side of the island and she couldn't help us. we called again and were admonished 3 times we couldn't get a refund when we were only asking for directions. The meeting point address was not listed on Apple Maps. When we finally arrived, the Tourist center at the meeting point said they did not recognize the tour guide who must have already left. They also said their street address we were given was frequently not recognized by mail and Fedex. We were too late for our tour but the assistance we received was the most negative, hostile response ever. We lost over $400 but never raised the refund issue, only asked for help which she refused to provide. On our trip, we booked 4 tours through Viator. 2 were excellent. We had this fiasco and then one in Portimao where our excursion was cancelled abruptly but refunded. 2 out of 4 successes is a failing grade by any measure. I would never trust Viator again.
Response from the operator: Dear Andrew, Thank you for your review. However, it omits several important facts about what actually happened that day. First of all, this was not an issue with the tour itself. The guide was at the meeting point and the tour operated as scheduled. You mention that you could not find the meeting point, yet on that same morning we successfully managed 83 other clients departing from exactly the same location for our various tours. They received the same area information and had no difficulty finding it. Your voucher contained: The meeting point address. A map. Our WhatsApp contact number. The Viator messaging system contact details. These communication channels are specifically provided to help guests who need assistance reaching the meeting point. Regarding the cruise ship docking location, this is unfortunately outside our control. Cruise lines occasionally change docking positions for operational reasons, and tour operators are not informed in advance of every last-minute berth change. What we find particularly unfair is the claim that our staff were "hostile". Our records show that the conversation quickly focused on the consequences of missing the tour because by the time contact was made, it was already becoming clear that you would not arrive on time. Explaining the booking conditions is not hostility. We are sorry that you missed the tour, but the reality is that the tour was available, the guide was present, the meeting point information was provided, and dozens of other guests successfully located it that same day. At Nofrills Excursions, with over 20 years of experience in Mallorca, we pride ourselves on operating reliable private and shared tours for thousands of visitors every year. We always try to help guests, but we cannot delay private tours indefinitely when clients are unable to reach the meeting point on time. — The Nofrills Excursions Team 🌴✨

Melanie was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our private walking tour of old Town Palma and the beautiful Cathedral as she entertained us with her stories and knowledge of Majorca. She set up a great harbor boat tour for us. I hope you are lucky enough to spend time with Melanie.

Great experience
Peter was a great and knowledgeable guide, and the tour was great. He patiently waited for us in the heat, as we were delayed by car rental issues. He even managed to (eventually) cheer up my tired and therefore rather grumpy friend (who had been up for ocer 24 hours straight). He was sesitive to my mobility issues and adjusted the tour for me, accordingly, to make sure I could take breaks, cool off, rest, etc. (I loved getting the gelato at Iceberg!!). We unfortunately missed touring the Cathedral, since we were delayed over an hour, but No Frills gave us tickets for later in the week, so we could see it on our own, which was very kind. We loved the boat tour, and I loved hearing the history of Palma and seeing the old town. Great tour and a great experience, all around. I would not hesitate to use this company / Peter, again for other tours.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and detailed feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you had such a positive experience with Peter as your guide. He truly goes above and beyond to ensure our guests are comfortable and well taken care of, and we’re glad to hear that he was able to accommodate your mobility needs and even lift your friend's spirits after such a long day! We're also happy that you enjoyed the boat tour and the history of Palma—it's always rewarding to know our guests had a great time exploring the old town. Sorry to hear about the delay with your car rental, but we're glad we could arrange tickets for the Cathedral later in the week to make up for it. We hope the gelato at Iceberg was a refreshing treat during your tour! 😊 We would be more than happy to welcome you back for another adventure whenever you're ready. Thanks again for choosing No Frills, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Tour: Palma de Mallorca Old Town, Palma Cathedral and Cruise: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mallorca.
How much does Private Tour: Palma de Mallorca Old Town, Palma Cathedral and Cruise cost?
+
Prices start at $63 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mallorca usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour: Palma de Mallorca Old Town, Palma Cathedral and Cruise take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mallorca is not rushed.
Is Private Tour: Palma de Mallorca Old Town, Palma Cathedral and Cruise worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mallorca, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour: Palma de Mallorca Old Town, Palma Cathedral and Cruise?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tour: Palma de Mallorca Old Town, Palma Cathedral and Cruise suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour: Palma de Mallorca Old Town, Palma Cathedral and Cruise?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mallorca can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mallorca and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour: Palma de Mallorca Old Town, Palma Cathedral and Cruise start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mallorca within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mallorca?
+
On Outty we rank every Mallorca experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mallorca Full Day Tour Valldemossa Deià and Sóller Experience, Best Mallorca Coves: Paddle Surf, Snorkeling and Guide, 3 Hours E-Bike Tour in Palma. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mallorca?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mallorca?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
