What you'll see and do

1. Vatican Museums

   Your private driver will pick you at your location and bring you to the meeting with your private guide. You will enter the Vatican Museums overflow with masterpieces by many of Italy’s most important Italian artists, sitting alongside important works from Ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt. You will walk through famous galleries such as tapestries and maps. You will learn the secrets of The Sistine Chapel, with its enormous Michelangelo’s frescoes. Here you will have time to observe the details of his sublime “Last Judgment”. 2. St. Peter's Basilica

   Just before ending your tour of the Vatican, you will enjoy the curved colonnades of St. Peter’s Square before a brief sighting of the Pope’s Balcony. Remember to cover knees and shoulders before entering the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. 3. Trevi Fountain

   You will admire the Trevi Fountain, a secretive masterpiece, and perhaps the most spectacular fountain in Rome. Built at the end of one of the famed aqueducts that supplied the Roman Empire with water, this iconic setting attracts many visitors. Toss a coin into its waters to ensure a safe return to Rome at some stage in the future.

4. Spanish Steps

   You will head to the Spanish Steps, one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. As you stand and admire the Church of Trinità dei Monti, located at the top of the famous staircase, you will see the Fontana della Barcaccia at its base. You might wonder how this impressive structure was ever completed.

5. Colosseum

   Visit from outside: the Colosseum, or Flavian Amphitheatre, is the largest ancient amphitheater and a symbol of Imperial Rome. Built between 70 and 80 AD, it hosted gladiatorial contests, animal hunts, and executions, accommodating 50,000 to 80,000 spectators based on social rank. Made of travertine limestone, this four-story elliptical structure features a complex system of vaults and arches.

6. Circo Massimo

   The Circus Maximus was the largest stadium in ancient Rome, primarily used as a massive chariot-racing arena that could accommodate over 150,000 spectators. Situated in the valley between the Aventine and Palatine Hills, it remains a significant archaeological site that highlights the Roman passion for grand-scale public entertainment.

7. Rome

   You will enjoy a typical lunch at a selected restaurant. First Course - a choice of Pasta among : • Amatriciana - Guanciale (cured pork), tomato sauce and pecorino romano cheese, • Carbonara - fresh eggs, pecorino romano cheese, guanciale (cured pork), and black pepper • Gricia - Pecorino romano cheese, black pepper, and guanciale (cured pork) • Spaghetti with tomato sauce • Arrabbiata – tomato sauce (cooked with garlic), hot peppers, parsley Main course (comes with salad or potatoes) – a choice among: • Saltimbocca alla romana - veal escalopes with prosciutto and fresh sage leaves • Pollo Alla Romana – chicken with peppers • Polpette al Sugo - meatballs with tomato sauce • Scaloppine – veal escalopes cooked with lemon water In case of allergies or specific diets, the restaurant will welcome different requests, preferably in advance at the moment of the booking. • WHEELCHAIRS, WALKERS AND STROLLERS: Visits to Ancient Rome and the Vatican Museums involve significant walking. Elevators are available for visitors with mobility issues, and a considerable portion of the museum features wheelchair-accessible paths. Please note that visitors with limited mobility can contact us to request special accommodations, such as wheelchairs or walkers. A member of your group will be responsible for pushing the wheelchair. Please note that wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers are not permitted in the passage connecting the Basilica's courtyard due to the 50 steps that are both downwards and upwards. The tour will conclude with a visit to the Museums. It is forbidden to split the group to allow part of it to continue inside the Basilica. The whole group is requested to stay with the guide. For the same reason, we suggest avoiding strollers and using a baby sling instead.
