It is an ancient village whose structure is perched on a high spur of dark rock that descends steeply towards the sea. The heart of the village develops along the main street, which ends in a small and picturesque rocky marina where boats are pulled dry and arranged along the main street. Manarola is historically linked to the cultivation of vines on terraces overlooking the sea. Here the famous and precious wine of the Cinque Terre, Sciacchetrà, is produced. Vernazza

Cinccaterra - Amazing
Lots of uphill walking but the views are amazing. Our driver, Matteo, was exceptional. Great knowledge of the area, took us to 4 different towns and was so accommodating on pick-ups and drop-offs. It was a great way of seeing a part of Italy not offered by the ships scheduled tours.

This trip is designed for...
This trip is designed for only transportation, no guide tips. So for the amount I paid, it’s not worthwhile . You can take bus, train or ferry to go Cinqueterre from Livorno with much less money. Of course it was very convenient to be picked up & dropped off in front of ship . Our driver Matteo was very kind & nice, but should tell customers it provides transportation only in advance.
Response from the operator: I understand that the Cinque Terre aren't always a pleasure, especially if you don't like walking and don't do enough research before booking. The service you received was exactly what was described in the information. The price is definitely higher than taking the train or bus, which is obvious. The cost of a private service with a driver in a comfortable minivan just for your group must clearly be more expensive. You were taken directly from the ship to the closest point to the various villages, met your needs and schedule, and avoided the lines at the train station and the timetable imposed on you on a bus excursion with 60 other people. So, your description of our service is a bit reductive, as you can see, it was much more than just a pick-up and drop-off at the ship's entrance. Anyway, thanks for the kind words about our driver, Matteo.

We had a wonderful experience with our driver, Matteo. It was sadly rainy on the day of our excursion which required us to pivot from a day at Cinque Terre to a day in Florence with wine tasting. Matteo was able to find a lovely vineyard for us to visit in the afternoon after a morning and lunch in Florence. Matteo was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
