Great Guide, great vehicle, great lunch
Pasquale was a wonderful Guide. He adjusted the tour to what he clearly saw as our needs. The van was a luxury comfortable Mercedes van. We asked for a great lunch spot for locals and we got a great lunch spot with locals and an amazing view. The food was picked from their garden, the pasta homemade. I highly recommend Pasquale and this tour

Amalfi Coast and Pompeii
This tour was with a driver that picked us up from our ship at the port. His name was Giuseppe. He drove us from the port through Naples to Positano first and then Sorrento. There was a lot of traffic as this is a very common area. He pointed out excellent Photography spots and gave us plenty of time to tour on our own as well as enjoy a light lunch. This was not a guided tour of the towns. Giuseppe was really mainly a driver. From Sorento he drove us to Pompeii where the company arranged to have a Professional Tour Guide just for Pompeii meet us. Her name was Louisa. She was unbelievable. We had 2 hours in Pompeii, although we could have been there for 2 days and not seen it all. Louisa did an excellent job. This part of the tour was an extra cost - we paid extra for the tour guide and the entrance tickets to Pompeii. Following that tour, Giuseppe picked us up and returned us to our ship. The tour started at 7:30 am and we returned to the ship at 4:30 pm. The ship was leaving at 5:30 pm. It was a full day but well planned. Be prepared with water, good walking shoes and possibly an umbrella for shade in Pompeii. It is hot and this was on June 4th. Just be aware that this tour does not include the cost to enter Pompeii or the cost of a guide at Pompeii. You do not have to have guide at Pompeii but I would highly recommend it. It will be a long day and a lot of walking. We walked approximately 5.5 miles. Enjoy.
Response from the operator: Dear Dave, Thank you for your time in writing this review and allowing us to show you the stunning Amalfi Coast and Pompeii. We are very glad that you enjoyed our driver and the tour guide we provided to you. We hope to see you again to show you other beautiful destination!!!!

Private Tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento or Naples: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sorrento.
How much does Private Tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento or Naples cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sorrento usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento or Naples take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sorrento is not rushed.
Is Private Tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento or Naples worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sorrento, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento or Naples?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento or Naples suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento or Naples?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sorrento can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sorrento and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento or Naples start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sorrento within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sorrento?
+
On Outty we rank every Sorrento experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pizza School with Wine and Limoncello Tasting in a Local Farm, Private Amalfi Coast Day Tour from Sorrento or Naples, Sorrento Farm and Food Experience including Olive Oil, Limoncello, Wine tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sorrento?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sorrento?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
