Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nemba
(Optional) The village was reconstructed after a natural disaster and the timber buildings are quite unique. The village also enjoys views of Mount Fuji and is resplendent in cherry blossoms in season (still flowering 2nd half of April). There are a variety of arts and craft shops, a cafe, museum and toilets etc. If you like to visit historical place, Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba is a must visit if you come to Japan. All I can think of during the whole visit here is Naruto's and Miyazaki Hayao's villages a village of traditional thatched-roof houses situated on the shore of Lake Saiko, beneath the gaze of World Heritage-listed Mt. Kawaguchi Asama Shrine is a historic Shinto shrine located near Lake Kawaguchi in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. Established in 865 CE by order of Emperor Seiwa, it was built specifically to appease the volcanic wrath of Mount Fuji following the destructive Jogan Eruption of 864 CE. Designated as part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site for Mount Fuji in 2013, the shrine is dedicated to Asama no Okami (Konohanasakuya-hime), the goddess of volcanoes and Mount Fuji. Kawaguchi Asama Shrine is particularly loved for its striking cedar avenue along the main approach, as well as the seven sacred cedars on the shrine precincts. These are deified––note the shimenawa ropes around them––and are old-growth trees thought to be at least 1,200 years old. Two festivals taking place on April 25 and July 28 respectively see performances of a ritual dance, the Chigo no Mai, meant to appease the volcano goddess’s spirit and prevent further eruptions and earthquakes.

Great tour, Abdul is the best.
Abdul was a great guide. He made a recommendation to start early and it paid off. We got great pictures of Mt Fuji. Abdul was very personable, did a great job of keeping up the conversation, and pointing out nice locations and things along the way. All of the locations are great. Make sure to bring 10,000 yen if you want to take the speedboat ride. Excellent tour.

Excellent tour, tour guide and Highly recommend.
Abdul showed us a fantastic day out sightseeing. We saw Mt Fuji from many locations, some were little known out of the way places with almost no people. It was a great way to see this beautiful place from quiet and serene locations. Highly recommend this tour! Also, we had a luxury vehicle that was quiet and comfortable. As a bonus we stopped by a local Indian Curry house for the best curry! Thank you Abdul.
