    The best day!

This tour was absolutely perfect! Luis and his colleague Ghynnis were wonderful! Not only are they kind, genuine people but they are also patient and accommodating. We spent all the time we wanted at the beach (it was so beautiful!) and never felt like we were rushed. The food was delicious and the experience seeing Barú village was very unique. Also, this was a private tour which made the experience extra personal. We felt like we didn’t just hire guides; we felt like we met some new friends. I highly suggest to anyone visiting Cartagena to book this tour! 10/10!

Response from the operator: It was really a wonderful day, and even more beautiful with visitors like you who appreciate every detail, it was a great pleasure to serve you, thank you very much.

Best way to experience the Rosario Islands

The tour was one of the best parts of our trip. The food was excellent and we enjoyed learning about Baru and especially seeing the beautiful scenery. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Truly an experience not to be missed. Since it is a private tour, we had undivided attention and I would highly recommend this tour above anything else. We also went on the horseback tour and I would also highly recommend that as well. Family owned and operated.

Response from the operator: Nice words that touch our hearts, thank you for making us part of your visit to Colombia, your names are engraved in our history. Thank you very much ❤️

    Amazing

The whole experience was incredible. You get to live the real Baru, get closer to the community and feel the vibe of their great people. Time seems short when you enjoy the sun, colors of the sea and the beauty of the Islas del Rosario. Luis and His daughter Maria are the best host to complete the tour. Feels like you are surrounded by family.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for allowing us to show you the cultural and natural richness of our islands, you are very special.

We had such an amazing time. Can’t recommend this enough, it’s worth every penny! Not rushed, lots of food, and Sofia & Jonathan were friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a really unique and special experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you for trusting us and helping us to move the economy of our community❤️

The best part of the trip was snorkeling in the ocean.

Had an amazing experience! Sofia was very nice. She explained lots of details about Columbia and provided really good food. I'm looking forward to going again!

Response from the operator: This is your home, our team and community will be happy to serve you again, thank you very much.

Private Tour of Ecotourism, Culture and Sea in Barú: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.

How much does Private Tour of Ecotourism, Culture and Sea in Barú cost?

    +

Prices start at $234 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour of Ecotourism, Culture and Sea in Barú take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.

Is Private Tour of Ecotourism, Culture and Sea in Barú worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour of Ecotourism, Culture and Sea in Barú?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour of Ecotourism, Culture and Sea in Barú suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour of Ecotourism, Culture and Sea in Barú?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour of Ecotourism, Culture and Sea in Barú start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cartagena?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena VIP Boat Tour: Rosario Islands & Snorkel, Cartagena Antigua & Barrio Getsemani group with audio system. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cartagena?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cartagena?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
