2. Circo Massimo

   Circus Maximus, the largest chariot racing venue in ancient Rome, measured 600 meters in length and could host up to 150,000 spectators, situated between the Palatine and Aventine hills. Originally constructed in the 6th century BC, it was expanded and rebuilt by various emperors following significant fires; however, today, little remains of this once-grand stadium beyond a large field where its shape is still detectable and some small ruins.

The Pantheon's exceptional preservation can be attributed to its conversion into a Christian church in the 7th century, which led to its continued use and maintenance over the centuries.
