What you'll see and do

1. Fragrant Hills Park (Xiangshan Gongyuan)

   Your tour guide will meet you at exit of Beijing Capital International Airport at 08:30 a.m. or your arrival time. Then, we will transfer to Fragrant Hills Park and start the highlight day tour. Fragrant Hill is a famous forest park and an imperial garden with a long history. Highlights of the mountain include Censer Peak, the Hall of Diligent Government, the Temple of the Azure Clouds, the Memorial Hall of Sun Zhongshan, the Lake of Glasses, Fragrant Hill Temple, the Double Clean Villa, Yu Hua Villa, Zhao Temple, and the Fragrant Hill Cableway that gives you a wide birds-eye view of the park area. Then, you will move to Summer Palace. According to your preference, your guide will recommend a place to eat nearby Summer Palace, which could be a small local eatery or elegant cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit the Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven and walk along Qianmen Street to visit famous shops with over 100 years history.

2. Summer Palace

   The Summer Palace is the largest and best-preserved of the surviving imperial garden, rich in history and culture. Once a summer retreat for emperors, this 716-acre park is still a retreat for tourist, who can relax here or stroll around ancient pavilions, mansions, temples, bridges and huge lake, stopping occasionally at a shop or tea-house. Much-loved summer retreat of the Imperial families, the lovely landscaped gardens, halls, pavilions and corridors are set around the lake and rivers in natural harmony. Long Corridor at the Summer Palace The paths beside the lake lead you under shady trees, or along the roofed colonnade known as the Long Corridor, with its magnificently painted ceilings. Bridges, boats, willows, lotus flowers, and other attractive landscaping make this a pleasant place to soak up the atmosphere and in the views.

3. Temple of Heaven

   It is the Largest Existing Architecture Group For Heaven Worship in the World. Originally, the Temple of Heaven was the place where emperors of the Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty held the Heaven Worship Ceremony. Residents living near the this place enjoy many activities here, such as running, cycling, singing, dancing, playing chess, flying kites, etc. You can become involved personally in these activities and experience the leisure pursuits of local people.

4. Qianmen Main Street Mall

   Located at the central axis of Beijing City, Qianmen Street is a famous pedestrian street for shopping and sightseeing, running from the Archery Tower of Qianmen in the north to the turning of Tiantan Park in the south. It is 840 meters in length and 21 meters in width. It is composed with buildings whose styles resemble the late Qing Dynasty. It has history of more than 570 years. Now Qianmen Street becomes an important night life place for locals. Qianmen Street is a symbol of genuine local culture. Visitors can enjoy a traditional Chinese way of life. Afterwards, enjoy comfortable transfer back to Beijing Capital International Airport to catch your flight. Wrap your memories and say good-bye.
