Make Sure Your Guide has Experience

We read such great reviews about this tour with the guide, Rodrigo. Our assigned guide was Ernest. It was his 3rd tour EVER. He didn’t have any water for us, and he had NOTHING TO SAY. Out of the 10 hours and 20 minutes that we were with this guide, he spoke for 20 minutes. He couldn’t even answer our simple questions about landmarks and towns we were passing. We ended up using our smart phones to educate ourselves about all of the landmarks we were passing. He was merely a driver. An Uber driver would’ve given us more information about the sites we were seeing. He didn’t even get out of the car to go with us to the sites that he took us too! He didn’t buy us the correct tickets for the Black Madonna at Montserrat. I can say, however, that he had very good driving skills and was a very nice QUIET young man. We definitely did not get our moneys worth. If you’re going to book this tour, please make sure your driver is an EXPERIENCED guide.

Outstanding day outside of Barcelona

Rodrigo was the most outstanding guide. He picked us up at our hotel and took us to Montserrat with stops along the way. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and knew just where to stop for the best photos as well as outstanding castles. He was courteous and always concerned about exceeding our expectations. He took us to an out of the way local restaurant for lunch in Andorra and also knew just where to go for the best pictures. He always dropped us off at the site before parking and made us feel at home. You don't want to miss this exceptional tour.

Great day to visit Andorra & Montserrat

Very enjoyable day to visit Andorra and Montaerrat. Our guide, Marian, shared much knowledge and insight about both locations. Our driver, Julius, was equally as good. It was a long day, 11+ hours, but was well worth it.

Private Tour of Andorra and Montserrat: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Private Tour of Andorra and Montserrat cost?

+

Prices start at $390 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour of Andorra and Montserrat take?

+

Plan for about 10.7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Private Tour of Andorra and Montserrat worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour of Andorra and Montserrat?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour of Andorra and Montserrat suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10.7-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour of Andorra and Montserrat?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 10.7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour of Andorra and Montserrat start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

+

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

+

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
