Ocho Rios Cruise Port
Your driver will welcome you with a warm welcome and a smile to kick off your tour. Whether you are being picked up from your hotel or cruise ship port. For 1 hour and 45 minutes, the journey through the old river bed fern gully will begin. This rain forest boasts over 500 species of ferns. Passing through the charming village of Colgate and onward to Golden Grove towards Claremont's clock tower, we'll make a left turn. During the ascent through the refreshing hills and mountains, you will be able to see the countryside farming yellow yam, sweet potatoes, cabbage, and more. Approaching the various corners, we will navigate around them with ease. Keep an eye out for some domesticated animals as we wind through the hills and curves, ultimately arriving at Bob's place in Nine Miles, where you can observe the villages and capture some photos.

The highlight of this exciting tour awaits as you enter the bar for a drink of your choice, you will be staying there for 3 and a half hours to listen to Bob Marley's tunes, and peruse through numerous albums of Bob. Then, your Rastafarian tour guide will greet you and lead you up to Zion, where Bob is laid to rest. After the tour, you will depart with a wealth of knowledge about Bob Marley and his final resting place, an experience worth sharing with loved ones back home. As your tour concludes, 1 hour and 45 minutes drive back, your driver will ensure your safe return to your hotel or cruise ship port.

Underwhelming visit to Nine Mile
I'm a huge Bob Marley fan and was really excited to learn more about his life, his music and the Rastafari movement. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. To be clear, the tour operator did fine on the transport side. We were picked up and dropped back at our hotel on time, and our driver was lovely and shared a few stories on the way. This review is mainly about the visit to the mausoleum and house. Also note that this is a private transfer, not a private tour. We shared the tour with another couple, and the tour at Nine Mile itself is with a site guide, not your driver. On arrival, our driver got our tickets and took us to an area full of shops, where we waited awkwardly for the site guide while being encouraged to buy things. We were offered a paid shot of rum at 9am, and when we politely declined, the welcome cooled noticeably. During the tour, the guide spent much of the time playing a cricket game on his phone. Most of the commentary was simply pointing out objects, like "this was his bed" or "this was his piano," with very little history or context. We felt rushed and were asked to tip several times. We were also offered a candle to "light" in the mausoleum to pay our respects. We didn't have cash, but it turns out the candles are never lit anyway; they're just left in front of his grave. Overall, zero value for money. I'd only recommend it if you're a massive Bob Marley fan, as it's still moving to stand where he was born and laid to rest. But as a big fan myself, the experience left me feeling a bit sad. It could be so much better.

Must do the 9 Mile Bob Marley home tour
My wife and I had an incredible experience with Winston Gayle on our tour from Ocho Rios to Bob Marley’s home. Winston was a very engaging and amazing guide who gave us good insight into the “real Jamaica” as we drove to Bob Marley’s home. The tour of the home was very entertaining and informative and provided a great overview of the musical and cultural icon. I can’t recommend this tour enough.
