Catedral de Sta Maria la Real de la Almudena
Get inspired by the Almudena Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece and the main church of Madrid. The cathedral was under construction for more than a century, but since 1993 it has been a great attraction for tourists and locals alike. Combining neoclassical and neobaroque styles with Spanish features, it amazes with its architectural diversity and unique interiors. Feel the space as you step inside and admire the stunning, colorful vaulted ceiling. The temple, built in memory of the patron Saint of Madrid – St. Mary Almudena, adorned with stained glass Windows, a giant 75-metre dome and a facade of blue-grey competent rock. The building is located opposite the Royal Palace. The complex includes a large observation deck that allows you to see the entire panorama of the city.
