Two stunning Greco Roman sites

Includes two of the most important sites in Western Turkey. Together, the sites give an excellent impression of Roman and Greek civilisations, especially the times of the early Christian church. The Laodician creed predates the more familiar Nicean creed. Excellently organised private tour with a very knowledge guide Ibrahim who was very clued up about the early church Two caveats. There is a lot of driving, generally on good roads. Neither site has much shade

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience and kind words about your private tour with us. We’re glad you enjoyed exploring these important sites with Ibrahim. We appreciate your note on the driving and shade, and we hope to welcome you again on another Fez Travel journey.

    Amazing site you must go!!!!!

Can’t understand why both these locations are not on Turkeys must see list for tourist! The architecture and preservation is outstanding and some structures are competing with Romes many monuments! The transportation from Kuşadası was good even had usb ports to charge you devices up and air conditioning too! The driver Ramazan knew his roads and how to get to destinations asap Irem was best guide you could ever want spoke great English and knew her facts even happy to take your photo as well! Can’t understand why this recommend trip by me is not in top 5 tours to see and do in Turkey! The place was sadly almost deserted it deserves respect for its amazing monuments that are still standing and it needs to be preserved for future tours and generations! There’s plenty of signs around or can do audio tours yourself if you have a car or located nearby! I only discovered it by googling historical sites in Turkey saw photos and knew wanted to go but many popular trip agency’s don’t list it but I found one with Fez travel as a solo traveller I was so appreciative to be there! Wanted to add more pics but a taste of what can see and there’s more!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback about your recent trip with Fez Travel. We are thrilled to hear that you had such a memorable experience visiting these remarkable locations. Your appreciation for the outstanding architecture and preservation is truly valued. We agree that these sites are gems that deserve more recognition on Turkey's must-see list. It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the transportation services, including. We're also delighted to know that Ramazan and Irem contributed positively to your journey. We take pride in our team’s dedication to providing excellent service and ensuring that our guests have an enriching and enjoyable experience. Thank you for choosing Fez Travel and for your kind words. If you ever plan another adventure or need assistance with future travel plans, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d be delighted to help you explore more of Turkey’s hidden treasures.

    Aphrodisias private tour

We have just returned from a wonderful day trip to Aphrodisias. Our tour guide was Emre, he is very knowledgeable and speaks perfect English. We had never been to this site before. We ate at a local restaurant and the food (included in price) was excellent. We were collected from our sitesi at 08.30 and we were back home at 17.00 We would definitely recommend this site for a trip. Paul and Mary Ireland.

Aphrodisias in the best most amazing...

Aphrodisias in the best most amazing site I visited in Turkey, even better than Ephesus. It was quite spread out and had a nice theater, bath, several temples, a Sebastian, and the only oval stadium I saw in Turkey. It was a school for artists, and the statues, friezes on the Sebastian, masques on the theater and other art were beautiful. Much of it was housed in a nice museum on site. I don't know why more people don't visit Aphrodisias -- it was one of the highlights of my trip in Turkey. Laodicea was an important banking center that is undergoing extensive restoration. it was breathtaking to look across a wide valley to see the white terraces of Pammukale spilling down the mountain and see the remains of an extensive water system that brought water from Pammukale/Hieropolis across the valley to Laodicea. The lunch stop couldn't have been better, and it was a fabulous tour.

    Thoughts:
a you'll learn more...

Thoughts:
a you'll learn more from 1hrs research on the internet than from the guide
b why run the trip on a monday when the museum is closed... one of the finest collections of ancient sculpture/statuary anywhere and you cant get in to see it! very annoying
That said the sites were brilliant and more than made up for a and b above, coupled with nice people on the trip and a good lunch. How long does Private Tour: Laodicea and Aphrodisias Day Trip From Kusadasi take?

    +

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Kusadasi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Private Tour: Laodicea and Aphrodisias Day Trip From Kusadasi suitable for kids and families?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kusadasi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kusadasi and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

On Outty we rank every Kusadasi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include FOR CRUISERS: Ephesus & Virgin Mary Tour with ENTRY TICKET+LUNCH, Ephesus Temple of Artemis and House of Mary Private Half Day Tour, Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Private Tour from Kusadasi Port. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kusadasi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kusadasi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
