Amazing day exploring all Isla de Maipo has to offer

We had an absolutely wonderful day with our driver, Felipe, and our guide, Gerald. We started the day with a lovely breakfast with a local artist, and then went on to experience small and medium-sized wine producers for the rest of the day. We also had an amazing lunch! Exceptional wines and Felipe and Gerald are the best. Highly recommend and would do other tours with them!

Response from the operator: Hello again Melissa, Janice and Valerie, thanks so much for your review and rating. Very rewarding! So nice you had a great time. I’ll congratulate Felipe and Gerald on your behalf. Here we are if you want to come again in the future. Hopefully!! Thanks again and best wishes, Juan

    Fabulous Time

The whole experience was top notch. Working with Felipe to customize our tour was easy he communicated clearly and quickly, even when we threw in a last minute request to have a second guide take our sons to the zoo while we wine tasted. The driver and guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and took excellent care of us.

Response from the operator: Hello again Brittany, thanks so much! I’m glad we could help and you enjoyed the experience! Felipe told me that you are really “wine connoisseurs” so it’s very rewarding to read that you found the experience op notch. I’ll congratulate Felipe, Gerald and Caroline on your behalf. Thanks again and best wishes, Juan

    The perfect anniversary tour!

We had a great experience with Gerald and Felipe! Some some tiny wineries and some larger production wineries. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone! After a few bigger bus style tours this was the perfect way to spend our anniversary!

Response from the operator: Eeeey Jennifer, first of all, thanks so much for choosing Maipo Travel for such a very special occasion! We are very glad you enjoyed the day. Very rewarding for us. I’ll congratulate Gerald and Felipe on your behalf. Thanks again and best wishes, Juan

Great priavte one-day wine tour in Maipo Valley

The tour was so fun and I enjoyed it very much. I traveled alone, but my private guide Christian and driver/coordinator Felipe kept me very good company. We visited three wineries in Maipo valley. I have done tastings in each of them. Each of the estates has its own characteristics and beautiful architectures, and great wines of course. During the trip, Chrisitan shared a lot of wine knowledge with me as well as interesting facts about the city and the country.

Response from the operator: Hello again! How nice you enjoyed all three wineries and its wines and learnt about wine and Chile with Christian. I’ll congratulate him on your behalf. We wish you the best in 2024! Thanks again for the ratio and comment. Kind regards, Juan

Private Tour: Isla de Maipo For Wine Lovers: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santiago.

How much does Private Tour: Isla de Maipo For Wine Lovers cost?

    +

Prices start at $721 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santiago usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour: Isla de Maipo For Wine Lovers take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santiago is not rushed.

Is Private Tour: Isla de Maipo For Wine Lovers worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santiago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour: Isla de Maipo For Wine Lovers?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour: Isla de Maipo For Wine Lovers suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour: Isla de Maipo For Wine Lovers?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santiago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santiago and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour: Isla de Maipo For Wine Lovers start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santiago within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santiago?

    +

On Outty we rank every Santiago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Maipo Valley Wine Region: 4 Wineries, Tastings & Foodie Tour, Valparaiso Port and Viña del Mar with Casablanca Wine Tasting, Tour to Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Pablo Neruda Museum and Vineyard. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santiago?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santiago?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Private Tour: Isla de Maipo For Wine Lovers?

    +

Included: Private tour; Afternoon tea; Wine tasting; Lunch; and All activities. Not included: Souvenir photos (available to purchase). Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Does Private Tour: Isla de Maipo For Wine Lovers include hotel pickup?

    +

Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 1 listed pickup location in and around Santiago. Be ready about 10 minutes before the start time. You can also enter a custom pickup address when booking.

What languages is Private Tour: Isla de Maipo For Wine Lovers offered in?

    +

It is offered in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
